Little trick I learned.

Little trick I learned.
Well, my driveway is now filled with cars. Besides the stang and our Suburban, I have a new Charger and now a new Magnum. The last two are both company cars. The Charger I am baby-sitting. The Magnum is mine, but I am giving it back in a few weeks.
I also just picked-up a 2003 Saab 9-3. The car is mint! Seriously, it has 23k on it, but it does not look like anyone ever drove it or sat in it. It is the nicest car I have ever seen that was 3 years old. Not a scratch....nothing. I would call the car flawless minus, which is better then excellent.
Anyway, wife drove through something and I got it all over the sides of the car. The car is white, and the sides are sprayed with brown specs that would not come off with ANYTHING. I tried paint cleaner, polish, and bug/tar remover and it only made a slight difference.
So, I pulled out the old clay bar and it took care of all of it. I have some to remove on the back bumper, but I will get that when I wash it the next time.
It took some elbow grease, but it took car of it. Whatever it was, was tough. It tended to discolor the paint, but the clay bar pulled all of that right off. I then waxed the whole car with NXT and then hit it with Sonus detail spray and the car is ready for Barret Jackson.
BTW, the car is cool as zhit. Loaded with more safety features then you can imagine: On Star, Air Bags everywhere, rear fogs, etc....

We have 5 cars as well, only 1 in the garage (76 vette), but it can hold 2 but the other half is taken up by junk. Plus there are 3 pine trees towering over our driveway to leaves and sap and bird sh*t gets all over the cars in teh driveway. I'm going to start parking in the street. =\

Hey, for $17,500 I think I got the best possible ride and the warranty is awesome. I also pulled the service records on the car. It was in the shop for two recalls and that was it.
My neighbor has one with 135k on it. His son in college is driving it and they swear by it. He just got a used 9-5 for his mother last year. It had 96k on it when he picked it up and has been flawless for 12 months.
Matt, when I own the car for a few years and it has not let me down, can I rub it in your face? And if it brakes, well, you can just laugh at me.
