Exclamation Cleaning Wheels with Mothers Power Ball

I have Black DD bullitts out back and wanted to know whats a good product to use on the lip to make them shine, just like they did when they were new! The seem to have developed a layer of i don't know what the seems to prevent me from cleaning them. Then again i've never used any type of polish or anything! What should i use, and what should i use to clean the spokes of the wheels? Thanks for any help...

I think Spike said it a few post ago, Treat the wheels like your car's finish...wash and wax (painted wheels anyway) The sheet that came with mine backs this up and says to wash with a good car wash (when cool) dry, and apply wax when need. Helps keep the brake dust from sticking as well. Only use micro fiber or soft polishing cloth, never anything harsh. They also don't suggest wheel cleaner as some contains acid and may at the cleancoat off.

Should I apply the wax on the spoke and let it sit for a few minutes or apply it on the power ball and wax and buff them at the same time?
