Default What wattage of amp should i use???

So i just put in new Sony Xplod 6x9 and im planning on some 5 1/4 in the front doors and then a 10 sub in the back. How powerful of an amp should i use that would be able to supply a good source of power to my speakers??? Oh and i prefer a Sony Xplod amp to go with the rest of the Sony system.

im not even gonna suggest anything sorry pall but the sony xplod stuff blows i mean its good for people who are extremely new to the whole sterio stuff but really i would return the explods and get some pioneer speakers or at least somthing other than sony. they are a speaker that is very much aimed at the idea "i bought it, it was cheap, lets put it in" rather than "spent a lil more on these, but the sound quality is great idea" i dunno just my lil opinion but im sure they sound better than stock

Never mind him - he doesnt kow what hes talking about. Explod is a fine product. the problem being that you and our mutal friend there dont know how to set them up - explods are very good because they are very strong - the same reason that most of their system (that we see) don't sound good - the problem is power and box building - you need at least 12's and maybe bigger to get big bass from xplods - but you 10 will sound good - heres the trick - you need a capacator - 1 or preferable 2 farad will do - and at least a 1000 RMS! amp. - if you have an aftermarket player - then dont worry about the 6x9's they will be ook - unles su have xtra dough and want to amp them with a 400 watt RMS or so separate amp - the subs need at least 1000 RMS mono block - 1 10" will get away with a 500 watt rms amp... but thats dumb - buy a good amp - bc u can use it again later down the road - just turn it down for now - rockford fosgate makes awsome amps and u can buy them at good prices via ebay (remanufactured) - carries the full warranty at 1/2 the price..... wut do i know i just build systems for money.....
