Don't use windex. Amonia is very bad for chrome. Other than that, what Frito said.

you will definately need something that will repel water. the mothers crap will only make them shine. i used this blue stuff and the water beads right off of the rims now. when i used mothers polish the water didnt bead at all and thats why my rims pitted on the inner wheel.

another thing to keep in mind is be sure to find out if your wheels have a clear coat finish....I know...I know ....WHAT??

Some of the makers these days are chroming their wheels with the lighter plating and covering them with a clear coat finish. Some of the polishes/waxes are very abrasive and take off the clear which leaves the chrome unprotected.

I used a detail spray on my wheels then followed up with a normal car wax. NEVER had an issue. From what I know companies like motegi, TSW, Lexano, KMC and many others use this method to protect their wheels.

Use the mother's spray and then wax them, (I wax with Mother's California Gold)... probablly should do it before you get them put on so you can cover them the best you can without reaching through the spaces and what not.

Getting them clean - Soap and water, nice clean microfiber cloth and elbow grease, no ammonia or other harsh chemicals!
Making them shine - Turtle Wax Compound
And i guess if you really wanted to you could use the same wax for your car... NX Generation wax is the shiit
