Twin sceww or centrifugal
that was a good sticky . It answers a lot. My 2 questions naw r. I have 4.10s whitch is better. The twin screw cost a bit more but why u waste in product u gain back in install( taking it to shop) if I go centrifugal then I'm stck between the pro and vortech. This is for the streets but I might take it to the road course a few times

LOL your quick! That's what I had thought. The pro is nice. Ain't got I drill into oil pan. Thing is. I don't care for that since I won't b doing the laber . TNT thing about self lub. Vortech naw has such a model. There pretty much the same then. The pro comes with an intercooler but why kind and what's better for me in vegas. I'm thinking air to liquid. Does vortech come with an intercooler or is it separate and more money. Also I don't want to here the whine as much. This is where the twin scsi is better but between these too. What quiet? I think I'd get tires eventually of the whine. I kinda wish my exhoust note wasn't so loud naw as well

Procharger is self lube. It also comes with an intercooler and vortech does not. My vote is procharger since it comes with an intercooler, and your exhaust note is going to get louder... more are coming into the engine more coming out. Vortech sq would be more quiet than the procharger.

another vote for procharger.
when you order the P-1sc kit though, for 300-400 bucks you can upgrade to a D-1sc head unit. DO SO..... It will cost you $1375 if you want to do it later down the road. And the D-1sc is a much better internal based head unit.
had my procharger on for like 2 years now with no problems. intercooler works more than good enough for anything i do. I can hot lap my car 4 times and it barely goes above normal tempatures. I have done this before.
only reason im running 15psi and only 436rwhp is because i have stock upper and lower intakes. there is so much pressure there where my TB is that on a dyno run it actually popped the rubbed inlet clear off from the TB. with intakes and this p-1sc at 15psi I should be more around the 460-470rwhp range.

procharger kit will prolly be around the same price as a vortech but with an intercooler. and the D-1sc kit flows 1400cfm..pretty good.
the belt coming off is just meaning the allignment of the head unit pulley and everything else was not right and shreds belts. this is easily fixed by making sure when it is installed.
also, buy a Reichard racing pulley and the belt can't slide off. (although i never had that happen even with a stock pulley from procharger).

Vortech's are around 600-1,000 dollars cheaper than prochargers, but the vortech does not have an intercooler. I bought a brand new full kit (vortech) for my 99 GT for 3,300. You couldn't touch a brand new intercooled procharger for that. People around here are selling the P1SC's for 4,500 new, but you can get them on website's for right around 4,000 unless there is some great deal on them I am missing. Alot of people in my area have had bearing issues with the P1's, but the D1's are awesome units from what I hear.

If the seals leak oil this is no problem. Prochargers seem to have this problem. The P1-SC more so that the D1-SC.
Just dont send it to Procharger for the fix. They'll charge you $300.00 to put a $4.00 seal in. I have the seal number from Chicago Rawhide to replace it yourself if needed. When I got my D1-SC used with 3000 miles on it, I replaced the seals in it, then sent it in to Procharger to have them inspect the bearaings and all. It cost 105 for the inspection and rebadge cause the serial tag was all scatched up. If you do buy it used this is what I recommend.
As far as getting a complete supercharger setup for $2000. Dream on.
