all depends on the tune, but no more than 150 shot I think.

More than one of my friends run a 100 shot on a basically stock 99-04 gts. So I'm assuming if 100 is fine then try 150 like zigzagg said.

NX says were safe with a 100 shot provided it is in proper rpm range and timing is right. 2 heat ranges colder on the plugs and no multi tip plugs. I have a wet kit to put on my 02 but am waiting to finish everything and get a tune. THey say a 100 shot is good for a 1 sec. pickup on et.

100 hp increase from nitrous (100 shot) is generally considered safe. 125 is borderline. 150 is asking for trouble. It really depends on your other mods. IF you don't have many other mods, you will stand a better chance of going bigger. The block can only handle soo much hp.

Also, going towards the 1`25 range will require fuel system upgrades generally.

I would start with a 75 or 100, get a good tune, a nice kit, and go from there.

Zex makes a nice kit, NX makes a nice plate kit. I would stay brand name.
Remember, start small 50 or 75 shot first to see how the car reacts. You dont want to pick your parts up off the road! Dats BAD

A nitrous kit from any of the bigger companies would be great there aren't many bad kits out there minus Venom in my opnion which i think are pure garbage. You cant go wrong with Compucar,NX,NOS,ZEX,Dynotune,Nitrous works,Ny-Trex,TNT and many others. You should look at their pricing and options etc.. that you like the best. There is not one "best" nitrous kit out there on the market.

I for most a 100shot is all thats is needed and is damn safe especially if its a wet shot. There are many many people running 125-150shots on these cars, now so more then ever. I run a 125/150shot on mine it loves it and its been over 3 years and counting and many many bottles of nitrous have been threw her. For most people who dont want to worry about breaking things etc.. a 100shot is like i said the best way to go. If you have the ***** a 125/150hit is not out of the question.

A fuel upgrade for anything over a 100shot is a must (pump upgrade). For a 100shot and less you can do it on the stock fuel system, but for the cost of a SVT focus pump which flows alot more fuel i would toss one in the tank. You would also need one set colder plugs like NGK TR6's or Autolite 103s are also good. And don't forget to always use 93octane when spraying.

Thats the best part of nitrous for me. When gas prices go up I don't have to use 93 i can fill her up with 87 when cruising on the street. Then fill it with 93 when i do want to use the bottle. Best of both worlds.

Oh and dont call it "NOS" thats a company that sells nitrous kits. Its called Nitrous, the ricers and uneducated call it naws,NOS,etc.. Dont be like them. OH and most importantly, Have fun this stuff is really addicting

with a basic GT on a 100shot with traction your looking at mid 12s with a good driver and a good 60'. My best is a bit quicker, but i would rather not share. I have a bet with someone and dont want to give up how quick mine is at the moment.

Looks like it doesnt include a window switch, FPSS, or WOT switch.

Thats the wrong fuel rail adapter for the 94-04 cars. Thats for the 05+ Ford efi vehicles.

You can get the same compucar nitrous kit i have for less money it comes with a nitrous filter so you don't get crap stuck in your solenoids and have them stick open. They also have a lifetime warranty on their solenoids so you can send them back in and get new ones for just the cost of shipping if something happens to them.

No kit will tune your car for you. Thats what a dyno tune is for and to be honest you dont really need it for small shots like 100 and less if you use a wet kit as they are jetted so rich its pretty damn safe. I wouldn't bother with the tune at that hp level.

Would i recommend a Compucar kit? yes as thats what i run on my car. I know a few other locals who have the kit as well and like it too. Cant beat the lifetime warranty on the noids too. All kits come with a WOT switch however you will need to get a window switch if your car is a manual if its auto you don't need it. They dont sell 100shot pills and dont worry the 90hp is a nice gain and you will see a little more then 90hp at the tires. Plus its only a matter of time before like me you only use the 125pills and then the 150pills they sell

Zex in my opinion are nice but you can get good kits for less money with better flowing solenoid's out of the box then their kits. Its up to you want kit you want their isnt really a bad one minus Venom in my eyes. As long you go with a wet kit your gonna be pretty good and safe.

I have a few races with the nitrous on, but nothing i ever uploaded as the quality is crap. If you have never ridden in a nitrous car its pretty awesome. I dont have a video camera so I dont have any videos up.

Yea i was also looking at the NX kit and that also has and option to come with the WOT switch..the only thing i dont understand is why i would need a window switch for either the compucar kit or NX kit..since my car is manual and if im racing and the nitrous is on and everytime i shift its floored then the nitrous keeps shooting bc of the WOT switch..So whats the need for the Window Switch? thanx..

You only need the window switch with a manual so it shuts off the nitrous and fuel when you are shifting (regardless of if you powershift or not). Because when you shift and the engines rpm go to the limiter it cuts fuel and you dont want the nitrous and fuel mixture in the manifold when it does this as it can backfire and blow your manifold up. I have had two rev limiter backfires. None were bad because i have a window switch and only one did anything and that was popping my air filter off. If its a manual you need the window switch so you dont have to worry about hitting the rev limiter or spraying below 3,000rpms.

If you were an auto you wouldnt need it as you spray through the shifts and you would have a free hand to flip the nitrous on over 3k rpms.

Yes it would work but its very over priced. Here is what i use on my car.

The MSD digital window switch. I bet you can find them on ebay for cheaper then this too:

I paid 80bucks for mine new from a local guy who didnt need it. So look around.

does the window switch have to be set with a tuner or is it factory preset?

Its a stand alone unit and you setup for what motor you have. In our cars 99+ we have Coil on plug or COP setups and thus you would set it to 1clynder mode and have the msd read off of any one coil, then set the ON rpm and the OFF rpm using the units buttons. Very simple process and install is easy too. Comes with good directions.

Well i have dynotune and i love it. I am running a 100 shot and with full exhaust, pullies, 315, intake and the nitrous, i saw a 1.3 second less in my 1/4 time. With the 75 shot i saw a 1 sec drop in 1/4 mile time. Automatic, i would recomnend dynotune because i had nothing but good luck with my nitrous. 150 shot is max on our bottem end with a tune, 125 will work just fine but i would recomend really retarding the timing, and 100 is really safe.

If you read the nitrous sticky's you will learn alot about the different kits whats good whats not, what the purpose of a window switch, bottle warmer, purg. Just go buy yourself a Wet kit put on a 100shot get some colder plugs, throw it on a dyno make sure your a/f ratio is alright and call it a day... enjoy.
