Question What is the Average cost of nitrous

What does it cost to fill a 10lb. bottle of nitrous? I'm just researching the cost for future plans. Thanks, Mark M

Also keep in mind that the bottle doesn't need the full 10# on every fill. I usually refill with 3-6# , so the cost is less for refills

now, this question will show how little I know about nitrous. Would keeping the bottle above a few pounds help anything? Would it keep pressure etc up? I would imagine it would give you better consistency in your runs =D

Yes , exactly.....a full bottle will keep pressure up the whole run. I'm running a 150 shot and get about 6 full 1/4 mile passes from a full bottle before it needs "freshing up"

normal prices are $3.00 a pound. Some places will ask if you want the bottle emptied and filled or just topped off. These people are trying to cheat you. Just get it topped off, if they empty it your just wasting good n20. Normally the bottle will need to be topped off after you use about 6-8lbs of it.

So normal prices for a completely empty bottle should be around $30. Topping off a bottle should only be around $18-25 dollars.
