Default New to supercharging.

Ok i have a 01 gt 5 speed. i have 10k to spend on the car. I currently have bbk cold air, mass air, offroad x pipe, flowmaster 40's, and a short throw shifter. I want to supercharge the car and i see 8 psi is good. But wut kind of supercharger is good. i found a procharger kit with a 3 core intercooler Part # 1FE202-SCI its a PROCHARGER STAGE II INTERCOOLED SUPERCHARGER SYSTEM with P-1SC and a 3 core intercooler. is this to much? I dont really want to touch the bottom end of the motor unless its a last resort. But besides a supercharger what else can i do? what kind of heads, exhaust intake, pulleys would be best. i found a set of patriot stage 3 heads and a full length exhaust kit but will this go good with the supercharger.? thanx any help will be greatly appreciated.

That is what you need! Full exhaust with an upper intake plenum and throttle body would also help you out. Also get 3.73 gears and some suspension mods. These mods should put you in the 350rwhp + mark. The limit of the stock shortblock is ~400rwhp. I wouldn't add heads and blower cams until you get forged internals. Once you get forged internals, i would get MPH Stage 2.5 heads, VT Stage 2 blower cams, and a smaller pulley on the supercharger. With this setup you'll easily see over 500rwhp.

So with your 10k you should:
1. get the supercharger
2. plenum/ throttle body
3. headers, h/x pipe, catback
4. MM frame connectors, MM lower control arms (springs/shocks/struts if you so desire)
5. build the rearend: eaton differential, moser 31 spline axles, 3.73 gears, and also have the axle tubes and torque boxes welded.
6. Dyno tune
7. Have fun! (buy some drag radials and take it to the track)

when it comes to heads, cams and a blower that 10k will go fast. if i were you i would do a KB 2.1 kit and some blower cams. with a good tune that will put you at over 400 hp with about 9*'s of timing at the most. the best thing about a KB blower is that you have instant max boost. i have a huge lag i dont see boost over 5 psi until 4k rpms.

KB 2.1 9 PSI kit
blower cams
cams install
that will prolly put you at 8-9k

that is what im doing before i head out to germany in may 07.
