Default Almost ready

Just ordered my Ford Fuel rail fitting and WOT switch w/ H.D. 60 amp relay from NX. Now all I need before I can go ahead and install the NX main line kit is the bottle pressure gauge, FPSS, and the MSD digital window switch:clap:

With an auto you can flip the arm switch above 3k yourself and you spray threw the shifts with an auto so i dont see the point of using one. But i know lots of people who like the added saftey. Whihc of course there is nothing wrong with having.

So what shot are you gonna run a 75?

Yea 75. And I have 4.10's so I'll be above 3k just about the whole time anyways. Just want the added security incase something happens: lose of traction for example.

Nah. This is my daily driver and plus I don't go to the track that often. Just wanted a little something to make it a bit more fun and something cool to show off come show season.

LOL standard place I guess coming out of the cowl or whatever that black piece is called between the windshield and the hood, I always call it a cowl who knows who cares lol. NX sells a dual purge plumbing kit for around $28 so I'll spring for that when I get the purge too.

sorry to hijack the thread...but here's whats gone wrong...so far..

well....

within the first 5 minutes, I screwed up when i was threading the bottle heater relay into a do-hickey. will i stripped it pretty bad so i was REALLY pissed, but i just switched it with another do-hickey, and forced a bolt into the first stripped do-hickey, and it's fine now - problem solved, a litte mad at first, but happy again

then I find out that LMPerformance didnt have a part i needed in the "NX Gen X-2" nitrous acessory kit. the part missing is a rupture disc that I NEED to run a blow down tube..and I NEED to run a blow down to tube to run at bandimere. so right now I'm using the pressure releif device that came with the bottle, which I can't use the blow down tube with. so I'm gonna have to order/find a rupture disc that fits the pressure releif device the uses the blow down tube so i can run at bandi - still pissed about hat

so i route the nitrous feedline though the car, only to discover that the hole in the firewall my buddy used to get his nitrous feed line through, is being used by soemthign with my clutch (his is an auto) so i had to buy a huge *** drill bit that cost me 30 bucks...when i tried to use it, i realize my drill is a peice of **** and is barley carving away at the fire wall, right now theres a pea sized indent with almost no progress there, and I'll probably have to buy a new drill just to make a hole in the fire wall - still angy about that, just for a stupid hole

THEN i find out that to hook up my schrader valve to the fuel hose that connects to the fuel solenoid I need a 1/16 male to 1/8 female adaptor. fine. i go to 3 different hardware stores and 4 different autoparts stores, NONE of them have anything close to that small (on the male end) SO I order it online, via amazon.com and pay for their 1 day shipping..so i end up paying 25 bucks, for a 3 dollar part. oh but thats not all my freinds, i get a comfirmation email for the order...i got one day shipping alright..ships on june 21st, arrives on june 22nd. thanks amazon.com. I appreciate that, but since they dont have a phone number I sent them a very angry email using many capitol letters so they could not easily misinterpret the mood of the email. well it ships out today, gets here tommorrow - I'm feeling a litte better with that

so I start to put together my solenoids...well in the Gen X-2 kit (yes the same one with the missing rupture disc) the purge they sent me, NX doesnt even sell anymore! there's a nitrous outlet port on the bottom, when there only should be a nitrous in port, and a purge port, well it had both of those PLUS a nitrous outlet port! wtf? why do i need one on my purge when I have one on the main nitrous solenoid?? maybe because that purge valve is TWO YEARS OLD!! well i screwed in a block, which blocks the n20 out port on the purge solenoid, which hopefully will let it function the way its supposed too..with the nitrous commign out the bottom of the main n20 solenoid - so i'm a little pissed at LMP for that, and hoping it works

all the solenoids are connected and everything, and I go to mount the nitrous solenoid, I find a perfect little spot for it out of the way, but can be seen, real clean. well i get around to mounting it...then i find out that the n20 hose doesnt reach from the intake jet!!!! DAMMIT so i have to find another place to mount the damn thign near the intake, which is very hard when from every direction of the n20 solenoid there is either a very unflexible steed braided hose, or the gigantic metal pole of a purge line comming off the purge solenoid (which is connected to the n20 solenoid)...so it's nearly impossible to find the right mounting spot..i kinda gave up after about an hour of looking for the right spot...

those were all the main problems, not to mention when I was working in the engine i dropped 3 nuts, 1 bolt, 1 washer and a screw driver into my engine compartment, and little stuff like that kept happening no matter what i was doing...

and to top it all off i reconnected the battery to go get some lunch with a buddy, well it dies at the place we're eating...so we get a jump, and while were driving, for the first five minutes or so the battery would just shut off for a few seconds and come back on....after that i drove it home ok, parked in the garage, shut it off, realized i left the windows open...well let me just turn the car back.....oh wait..the battery is dead again.

so that's how my car is sitting right now in my garage. now you might kind of understand why i'm so fuggin pissed at this installation...

damn that was a long rant.

Yea see that's why I ordered the ford fuel rail adapter, the part you need to hook up the fuel line to the schrader valve from NX. I'm making sure I have ALL the parts I need before sending this thing in for install. Well I still need wiring and honestly I don't know where I'm going to get that from? NX sells a pro wiring kit for $60 with wire loom connecters etc. maybe I'll ask them if it has everything I need to hook up my system and make my shops life easier.
