Obama, McCain, the nation puts way to much on the president because he is "head" of out nation, yes he does do alot, but the main planning to whatever shitty place our nation will go next is at the hands of congress just as much if not more... he is powerless w/o congress

Point 2: People worry so much about electin a president that the dont research whatever legislative candidate is up at that point... back to education like lazerred6 said.

As for me, i got a few hundred extra for college but that doesnt do a whole lot because finding a job here is next to impossible.

I feel absolutely no effects from his presidency, besides the fact that personally I received 8,000 dollars for buying my first home. Which is awesome. With a 4.8% interest rate, by the way. Also, Banks are still giving out loans. I bought a $300,000 commercial property with 0 dollars down. Pretty sweet.

I do however believe, the worst is yet to come. We are only in the eye of the storm. I have no worries however. If your a true entrepreneur, you can make money in a bad market, and a good market.

My post is probably absolutely irrelevant to the other posts in this thread, but i didn't bother to read the Obama bashings.
As far as job security as a skill is concerned, I feel I'm good. I'm an industrial maintenance mechanic. You can always make a robot to replace a production worker but you can't make a machine to fix a machine.

Now, my actual company that I work for is a different story. At my work we make ductile iron pipe and sense the housing market has taken a huge hit, there hasn't been alot of new construction so therefore no need for water lines and such.
