Sonia Sotomayor As a SC judge
#2
fucked up...she is racist against white people... she has ruled over a few cases where it was a minority vs. a white person and even though the minority was clearly guilty as hell, she gave them a light light sentence where in a similar case where the white person was the defendant, she threw the book at them. even ONE small case of the **** she has done should render a person not fit to be a supreme court justice.

The supreme court has overuled her multiple time and in each case they citeded that her interprutation of the law was flawed
She clearly stated that she believes that a wise latina woman will come to a better ruling than a wise white male
that is the essence of racism. The belief that a person is better suited for a positon soley based on race.

If she gets in we don't have a fair judge with a checkered past. We will get a radical judge who believes her personal feelings are more important than actual laws or the constitution.

Forget the racist comments, the fact that she went on the record saying that the job of the appeals court is to make policy is what pisses me off more than anything. How the hell did she become a judge with this view of the court system? The courts interpret the law, not make it. And now, she may be judge of the highest appeals court? What's even scarier is Obama's other choices, like DHS Secretary Napolitano, who basically classified me as a domestic terrorist in 2 reports, just because I have Ron Paul's book in my house. So much for hope and change ending racism...

The problem in today's media world is a person says one thing wrong or even one word that is wrong and they are labled. Heck she could have meant to say the appeals courts sets "precedent" rather than "policy". I don't know the context of the question she was asked or the full statement so I'll wait until more info comes out before judging.
As for being a racist.... she might be, I have no idea, but if a white judge gives a white person who was clearly in the wrong against a minority a light sentence that would be considered racist....right? I'm pretty sure that **** happens every damn day in this country so again, all this **** goes both ways.

imagine a white judge said
I believe that more often than not a wise white man will come to a better conclution than a wise latina woman
that guy would be lucky if he escaped crusifiction

isn't that true though? LOL....I'm kidding. Yes, you are right he'd get ran out of town.

Well, regardless of who he picks for any position 50% of the people aren't going to like it. Can't please everyone! By the way, I'm not defending his pick for SC, I don't really know anything about her. With that said I did here something about her saying the appeals court makes policy, and that scares me a bit. Again, not defending her, but I'm not sure she meant that litterally.

"... the role of the appeals court is to make policy. Now I know we aren't suppose to make law, I know that [audience chuckles]..."
The racist quote pretty much said that she would judge better than a white male. Newt Gingrich said that if a white guy said he would judge better than a latina woman, he would be crucified. When this comment was brought to Robert Gibbs, he couldn't even give a response that made sense. However, this has already become a race issue, as any opposition is met w/ the comment that you're racist.

The problem is, there is no spin, she has gone on the record saying this. For example, the clip w/ the policy making goes like this:
"... the role of the appeals court is to make policy. Now I know we aren't suppose to make law, I know that [audience chuckles]..."
