Default Where do you get your news?

Now I'm not looking responses such as TV, radio, or internet. I'm looking at names like CNN, FOX, Wall Street Journal, Air America, other other companies AND you favorite shows on network cable.

...ill chime back in with mine if thread starts rolling.

It depends....I don't care to get my news through the tv networks because most of it is opinion based rather than just straight facts. I don't give an F what Anderson Cooper or Sean Hannity's opinion is, I want to know the facts of the story and form my own opinion. I personally don't think the general population forms their own opinion anymore, they just regurgitate talking points they heard on CNN or Fox.

So for local news I read the Oakland Tribune. However I do browse USA Today's website on a daily basis. Every now and again I'll browse the LA Times or NY Times website to see what they are reporting on.

That's pretty much all the sites that can be considered news that I check on a daily basis. I read the USA today paper cause we get it free at my campus.

Ill watch news from any channel, but i take everything with a grain of salt cause i know a lot of news agencies tend to be biased.

FOX News is the what I really only watch. The usual shows include Beck and O'reilly.

I'll turn on Lou Dobbs if find him on CNN.

To me it's disgusting how biased the news it. What ever happened to reporting?

Don't get me started on MSNBC (i think if this is where you get your news then you clearly haven't graduated from elementary school).

The People's Cube (might be a parody site but it helps keep me up to date)
Mark Levin and Glenn Beck (they don't do a massive spin but bitch about things I care about)
FOX since the news portions aren't really biased (except shows like O'Reiley)
My friend who works at the Capital
Local papers

The NBCs, ABC, CBS, and CNN are a little too biased to the left (though it seems they are going more to the right every time Obama announces a new plan). FOX can be bad too, though for the straight up news, they don't seem to spin it. Their main problem is reporting on anything that involves either a child getting kidnapped or murdered or a college girl getting kidnapped or murdered since they concentrate way too much on those stories. Personally, I rather hear some news, not something that seems more suited for OK magazine.

Truthfully, I don't even watch the news anymore.. I get enough of the doom and gloom report from my dad and most of our clients. Basically the media is set up to make the economy look like it is worse than the great depression (and continue to spread the horrible news for a while, thus scaring the pants off of most consumers) then after Obama spends some more of our money in "stimulus" packages it will be this amazing rise from the depths, unfortunately that may backfire on them and blow up in their faces.. So, I pretty much log onto the local news stations website to check the weather and that's about it..

I've pretty much decided to ride out whatever **** storm there is, go to sleep, wake up and do it all over again tomorrow. It's pointless to live in fear of what's going to happen next, just live your life to the fullest with no regrets!
