sawzall? Last I checked, a power saw isnt used installing a catback. Theres 2 bolts on each pipe after your midpipe. You might need a torch or some power tools to remove. I needed a torch when doing my midpipe. You do need to tac up your catback though so youll need a welder.

we used a sawzall to take out my stock cat back so we didn't have to unbolt any of the suspension components.

also, didn't weld it in place and haven't had any problems with leaks

i cant drop the shocks...so i gotta cut the pipe right after the muffler (before the pipe that goes over the axle)....thats the only thing that needs cutting

in the directions it says Note: You may need to cut the old pipes in the civinity of the rear axle or disconnect the shocks to gain enough suspension clearance to remove them.

and no welding needed....its got clamps that hold it together....as shown in the pic below

Yeah, the directions even say that you need to cut the stock catback off. Once you cut it...there's no going back!! But you won't want to once you hear it wake up. I used to think the stock exhaust had a nice sound, but now stock sounds so wimpy.

And I didnt hafta weld either..it's better than you don't in case you ever switch it out or need to remove it

Put it this way...

Just today I was headin home from school and there was another stang all tricked out 2-toned gold on the bottom and black on the top..looked pretty nice. It had a black widow kit but thats another story...

He said he has a bbk shorty x-pipe(bc of longtubes, but i dunno if they were catted) and straight pipes and his was pretty loud and he comented on mine sayin how loud mine was.

Oh and I also got pulled over by a cop who had his windows up and way down the road when I was getting on it and he heard me from that far...yes, it's LOUD

before you put them on, get a video recorder or sound recorder and record a before and after. Then a month later, listen to the stock sound and you'll wonder how you drove it stock for so long.

You're never gonna see the SLP exhaust that shiny again! lol, I'm surprised how well the tips hold up tho, the double wall REALLY helps the tips keep their shine

long as you clean them often(just once every few weeks) to not let the crud build up. Make sure you clean the bottom portion AND the top(since you can't really see the top-inside part, you may forget to clean it). You can see mine shine pretty well and I've had them a little over a year.

Anybody know of any GOOD polished tips that last, other than SLP? I got Magnaflow, which are good, but don't hold there shin very long. I like the bigger opening
