My New Pony!!!!!!!
Hey folks, Well, i gyuess it aint a pony, but it is still a horse.
I picked up this 88 Ford Bronco XLT with the 5.8l V8 (i think it is 5.8) qith 145,000miles for 5k this weekend.
I needed a winter beater, The dealer wanted 8,000 for it, but i managed to get them to knowck 3k off the price. This baby is CLEAN! Interior is excellent, exterior looks great as well. She starts right up every time and runs like new!
The only problem ive had so far is there is a small oil leak i neeed to fix. other than that, she runs great!
Im thinking the engine might have been rebuilt, cause i wouldnt expect a for to run this good after 145,000 miles.
Brands new wheels and all!
Origionally i was wanting something like an old beat up AWD subaru or something, good mileage and good on snow. ended up falling in love with this though. Now im gonna have to throw on a 6 inch lift and some 35's <rofl>
Here are some pic's of the Bronco and my other pony as well.

Thats a pretty nice bronco. I havent seen one so clean before. Theyre usually beat up from getting thrown around offroad. 5K really doesnt seem like a bad price to me. 8K was the ripoff price. You have to be realistic when you buy cars these days. You cant just go out and find a ride that actually runs well with no major damage for less than 4 or 5K.

Yah, the kelly blue book and nada both rate this thing as worth no more than 2k.
then again, for anything over 10 years old KBB and NADA are both totally useless.
Ive seen Ram Chargers, Blazers, and Bronco's sell for more than what i paid that are in worse shape.
the back seat needs to be re-upholstered, and there are a few small area's of rust, not on on the body or frame. Everything on it works, the power locks, power windows, rear window, cruise control, all of it.
I have the origional keys too. The origional owner was definatly a fan of these trucks and took care of it.

we STOLE ours...
87 eddie bauer edition, repainted recently w/ a rebuilt 302/5.0
paid 1500 plus did a clutch swap on the guy's other truck...
clean as hell on the outside, with just a rip in the driver's seat on the inside
