Default Detailed the '05..

Haven't been around much lately, just been all over the place this summer. Been doing a lot of Autocross and some Drag racing on top of 100 other new things this year one of which was getting a new D-SLR (that will keep you busy forever). Finally put a good detail on Jessi's car to surprise her when she got home from visiting her parents in Fla. Tell me what you think!

Dawn bath, Clay, Dry, Pinnacle XMT 360, Poorboys EX Sealant, Applied with a Porter Cable 7424, roughly 8 hours.

Thanks Dave, it's got a little bit of flavor from everything (kind of like my car) with the Shelby GT front bumper, Roush hood scoop, GT Skirts, GT500 wheels and the 3 piece ducktail, etc etc.. It does get a lot of attention, unfortunately it's mostly by ricers and the occasional jackass who thinks he's cool if he beats a six cylendar Mustang in his SS or something else along those lines.. lol

stang looks great man, good work! How well does that XMT 360 work? Just kind of curious on its cutting power, more for light scratching and not too much in the paint correction area? Thinking it would be a good use for use in between full on paint correction polishes.

Great job mang. Been thinking of buying something like that to bring the shine back in my car. I keep seeing pics like these and it gets me more motivated to not pay someone to do it.

Thanks everyone, I'm pretty stoked about how it turned out. Definitely my personal best detail yet.

Thanks dude. I've been using the XMT360 since I got my PC like 4-5 years ago and I love the stuff. I't great for getting rid of any hard water spots or anything like that and if you use it with a cutting pad it will get rid of small scratches even though it really isn't meant to do it. The sealing properties are really good by themselves, but I still like to add a good sealer on top just to really help it pop more.

**** paying someone. By the time you pay someone for a full detail or two that will more than cover the entire cost of a good buffer along with some pads and polishes. Then you're good to go for a long while and you can clean your car whenever the hell you want! Look around autogeek.net , especially the forums and you'll learn a lot!
