Default New steering wheel

Took off my stock GT wheel today. I had never liked it and even tried to make it feel better by adding a wheelskinz cover. It made it thicker but still wasn`t `right`. Plus the cover looked ugly IMO.

Old wheel was easy enough off after disconnecting battery , then leaving SRS module backup run down for 15 mins.

Even with the ***** wheelskins cover is wasn`t doing it for me.

End result? MUCH better feel in the hands with the thicker more comfortable leather wheel from a 2003 Cobra. I can`t believe the difference a good steering wheel makes in a car. The FR500 would be king but sadly a nightmare to find.

I had the FR5 wheel in my car, now WNRacings car... its badass, but as you've found out anything is better than the stock GTs POS wheel.

It looks good man. I didn't even realize the Cobra wheel was different than the GT wheel. So does the Mach 1 use a GT wheel?

I can't find the FR500 wheel anymore.

I don`t know to be honest. I know like zig says the stock GT wheel isn`t the best. Its kinda thin and hard on the hand. There was a 10th Anni Cobra wheel (with the palm swells) on ebay about a month back but the guy wantedabout $400 and it had a mark on it.
Nice wheel and I had the money but still way too much plus another $75 for postage. The cobra one went for $63 and come off a 10k mile car. A steal as far as I was concerned.

I did some quick searching and it seems like you got a really good price. I would ****** one up in a heartbeat if I can find one under $75.

I found a 10th Anni with the palm swells and mystichrome inserts for $800

Woot 1000 posts!
