Here it is at auto-x with MT Mach 1 spoiler.
Detailer ruined my vinyl stripes by putting black wax on em.
Back to basic black.
Here I am slingin gravel at a Dixie Region auto-x. We have been cleaning course better lately.

Haha, I love that car! I didn't like the gold rims that much, but the stripes looked great! I also have a Mach 1 Chin and I'm picking up my 9th set of rims tomorrow. I couldn't tell if you moved your wing back, but if you haven't, it looks great with it back. I go to autox's all the time too. Here are some pics of mine...
Check out my pic #3 and your "throwing up gravel pic". Not as much drama, but still pretty cool!

Thanks!
I ran 2" masking tape all the way down the center of the car to push the stripes up against to get the proper alignment.

You should remove the wax with prep-sol or something like it before installing the stripes. Putting on vinyl stripes ain't no walk in the park. You'll need a heat gun and know how to use it to get em on where you have compound curves. The problem areas on my car were at the phoney hood scoop, the underside of the spoiler, and the tag area on the front bumper. I removed the spoiler and installed stripes on top and bottom of it since it is visable. Had to shrink the vinyl where the underside met the top at the rear to get them to line up. On the front bumper I had to tape off both edges and heat the vinyl up and stretch it into place with the squeegee. Also if you squeegee part of the stripe down and it is not floated into postion correctly you will not get it up without stretching the vinyl and ruining the stripe. That and the cost saving feature was why I decided to go bulk. I used some stuff that was 35-40 bucks for a 24" x 10yd roll. If I were going to do vinyl stripes again I would go ahead and buy the 3M automotive stuff. Only place I found to order it was through NAPA and the smallest roll of 24" wide material was around 90 bucks. Hope this helps with your decision.
I hope to repaint my car in 05 and paint the stripes on before clear coating.
