Off topic: I don't remember, did you VHT your tails? How many coats of VHT & how much sanding/clear did you do? Yours are close to how I'd like mine to be, but just a little lighter.

Haha, I know. I actually used smoked vinyl tint on the tail lights. Much easier to do plus it's hard to be the clairty. I VHT'd my pony, my side reflectors and I'll probably do it to the 3rd brakelight now that I see how much it doesn't match the car.

 

I think I'm going to end up letting my paint guy do some tinted clear coat. I don't know, Some say that VHT works great, then there are other that say it sucks. Uggh. I'm really thinking about trying it on my headlights too before I go drop $200 on a set of dark smoked.. If I can get the same result for $15 that would be great. lol I've spent wayyyyyy too much money on my car in the last two months, told myself that I was done for a while, then I found a set of Oxford White Cobra Mirrors Sunday night.

 

I wouldn't VHT headlights ever, the adhesion pattern from the spraypaint will cause some serious negative effects on the way your headlights disperse and focus light. It'll look doodoo.

BTW, don't tell AM but you can get smoked clear corners for $95 shipped on the jewbay. I just ordered some smoked foglights for $55

But as far as finding other parts, I don't know how any of you ******* do that ****. I can't find any good deals ever. These mother ******* that get 8.8 rears for <$300 are so lucky, they go for $500+ on ebay. And the C-list here blows, no good deals or items EVAH..

 

Yeah, I probably would shop BOI or eBay before AM on headlights or any lighting to be honest. That's one place where their prices are way more expensive than the competition. I really should have bought the damn UPR headlights at NMRA in Bowling Green last year.. They had them on sale at the booth for $100, those damn things are DARK.

I troll SVTP for stuff.. I got way luck on my headers, that was just a once in a lifetime deal. Got the Mirrors for $200 on SVTP, and price matched the Stingers through AM I think I got those for $521. SVTP is the best place to pick up stuff second hand though, a lot of people that wreck cars and part them out there. Got a practically brand new radio bezel for $30 a couple of weeks ago. Craigslist sucks here too, the only thing I've gotten through C-list was my cobra spoiler.

 

Tinted clear is the way to go. Trust me :

Pee, I am partial to gloss, but the matte does look good too, so either way you can go wrong.

I like both equally in terms of aesthetics. But, I ended up choosing 'matte' because the gloss shows too many prints and too much dirt.
