No I did all the prep work on them and re-installation of the mirrors and bought the paint, but my friend was painting a vette he was working on and just sprayed them at the same time and cleared them for me.

I followed these directions to a T, minus taking out the mirror, I just taped them up with painters tape really good.

Do you have any pics with a little wider view?

Thanks, this sounds like a good winter time project. One of my mirrors needs to be replaced and Cobra mirrors don't become available too often.

not to mention stupid expensive for what they are. I like them, but unless I were to come across a pair for dirt cheap, they will probably never happen, I am fine with my black plastic mirrors, and like the painted stock mirror look as well.

Looks good, but I would be worried about people opening their doors into them and chipping them to ****. Atleast here in Orlando I would lol. Good work!

Yeah my car doesnt park much in downtown areas, I live out in the kuntry a bit, and it mainly see's the daily highway travel to work and home, and through town. I am sure they will be repainted or replaced at some point. But I thought it would be something a little different compared to all the other DSG cars at shows when its show season and not overboard so much.
