Default hood stripe

I got my hood stripe on today. Not exactly perfect, but I am a rookie at striping.

You are all ready $33 buck down the hole so it would be good to have it done by a pro. If you were down by me I would of helped you with it, what color did you get Black.

I like the strip down the middle goes good with the chin spoiler.

Thanks for the compliments. I kinda thought it would be a 3M stripe. But it's a plain vinyl stripe. It probably won't last as long as 3M, but I like the look. I'm satisfied for now with it. I always thought my car just needs more black accent. It's a red car, almost too red. LOL. Plus now I have the confidence in doing this stuff. I read up on how to's for striping and it really isn't as hard as some sites say it is.

I've had that stripe sitting at home since Christmas, been scared to try to put it on.

If its as easy as you say, I'll be doing it very soon.

It was pretty easy. Just make sure you prep the area 1st. I used rubbing alcohol on a soft rag. Had my wife help me peel the paper backing off. Some of the paper tried to stick but we scraped it off. Just keep the sticky side wet as you're peeling away the paper. Do it in the shade. Put it where ya want it.( It will slide where ya want it to go. dam that sounds a little like.....) LOL.

Then squeegie the stripe down real good. I let mine sit in the sun after i was done to help dry it. I'm happy with the results. Good luck.

I know man. I'm gonna get that soon. Plus my new rims. I think I may have my wing painted black too. I have all kinds of ideas from you guys and all the great looking stangs. I want more than I can afford LOL. A grille delete or tinted windows is next.

Unhappy

What I really want is a shaker hood kit. But that is pricey and I really would want to have the DOHC heads too. I think it would be kinda not right to make a fake Mach 1. Which is what I really wanted besides a cobra which I coulda had if I didn't want a divorce, Damn now I'm getting teary eyed. Where's a emoticon when ya need one?

Looks great, definately do the tinted windows first. Those change the whole look completely. Youll be amazed. Also, lowering springs are a must sometime in the future.

I was thinking of the hood stripe like that but I want the one with the thin stripe that outlines it. I probably wont get it because I think a black stripe will clash with my black hood scoop. Yours looks good though since the scoop is painted.
