Default Rear bumper valence...

Broke down and put the rear bumper valance insert on. I couldn't see paying 15 bucks or more for one off eBay, so I went to the local vinyl store and paid 5 bucks for a sheet and cut it out myself. Still not sure if I like it...

Any thoughts?

thought off and on of getting one but still don't know what I think either. Hard to say but it was a good idea cutting it yourself and seeing. I stole slappy's black fuel door idea but couldn't find a black one and didn't want to paint mine so I got a red one from the junk yard and painted it. Still don't know what to think but hey just like vinyl at least we can take it off.

I just don’t think you went up high enough… can you wrap the entire section, you’ll have to do cut outs of the openings, but I think it might look better. Here’s a quick edit… what do you think?

This is a tough mod though…

It's definitely cheap, but it beats having it painted and then figuring out that I don't like it

I've got a piece of vinyl leftover, I might cut it and see how it looks...

I like the one with it all covered. If you dont cover the little nipple lookin things, then dont do it at all, but I like it.

I tried covering the whole area and although I think it WOULD look good, I wasn't happy with the way the cutouts turned out. If I decide to get it done, it's gonna have to be painted. I probably won't do it though since I plan on getting stripes painted on in the next couple of months.

Go figure, I forgot all about taking pictures of the whole area vinyled up until AFTER I pulled it back off...

Carefull!!! You don't want anyone on this board to find out that you like a yellow Mustang!!! :laughing8

Anyway, the stripes have been on my mind for a while and I want to do something to make the car a little different from the thousands of them around here. That's about the most drastic change I can think of...

I tried to get the dealership to swap for black bullets when I bought the car, but the only 'stang on the lot that had them was already being sold. My salesman told me if they got another one in within two weeks he would swap them out for me. That never worked out...I'm sure I put a LOT of wear on the back tires in those first two weeks! Would have been nice to swap 'em out then.

Naw, it was sold...the guy that bought it ended up in the finance managers waiting room at the same time I was there... tried to talk him into trading, but he didn't want to.

I think either do the valence, or the stripes. Not both, that would look overdone IMO.

The Firebirds have those taillights. The honeycomb rear panel would look very sweet on your ride.

I really love it, Dont listen to these fruits, and stripes and the rear valence is a good combo, the roush stangs have them. Your stang is coming out really nice. I was never a fan of the honeycomb tail lights but it is really looking good with the whole yellow and black thing. The only reason why maybe i wouldn't put black stripes on a yellow stang is because it reminds me of a bumble bee... and i dont like bumble bees =[

If you want black bullets, just get them. I know money does not grow on tree, but you can buy a set here for a great price and then sell your stockers. You won't get much for them here, cuz we are guys in the know, but I bet you would get $300 or more for them.

I'd like the black bullets, but right now I'm considering the black deep dish FR500's. Once I get finished with all the vinyl "taste testing" and get it painted, I'll order the rims and call it good.
