I've been working on my .net site for a while, but haven't been pleased. Anyway, I thought this might help me get some money until I can pick up a real job. Or if this takes off, screw the "Real Jobs".

Yeah. I tried to avoid going this route, but the results are 1000 times better than the .net page I've been building. And I have my .net domain for two years so I have time to put that together. We'll see. I'm gonna take a break from it all...too many hours behind the pc screen. Who knows, I may just end up keeping this.

King - Looks good, but if your trying to target a certain audience for business I dont see it doing so as it is right now?

It doesnt really say what you are offering for services, a mission statement ( I kinda see that in the about ), and experience, and may wanna include like a online resume in there, and so on...

I would agree. It's definitely a good start though. I've been seeing improvements in your photos and I think the saturn photos turned out really well. Keep it up and I'll look forward to seeing what's next.

 

If you do end up going pro, you should check out smugmug. It's what I use. If people start buying your photos, you can set your own prices to make profit.

 

I'm more just still building a portfolio right now. I just wanted to get the site launched so people can see what I've done and help get the word out that I'm doing the whole photography thing now. I have that wedding for a friend that I'm doing in December, and they said that they'll be paying me. Honestly I'd rather get a new lens than get a set amount of cash. I have so many lenses I want....plus anything with IS/VR. NOT HAVING IT SUCKS!

I'd love a 28-125mm IS, 55-250mm IS, 10-24mm...maybe even a 50mm. Hell there is so much I'd love to get lens wise.

No, he probably just wants access to personal pictures because he is either 1) turned on by putting a face to the username, or 2) wants access to pictures to use as demotivators to get back at everybody who has ever used his pictures for demotivators...haha

 

Nick if you want my moms email, let me know she has been doing the picture thing for some time and knows her stuff. She has been making a some what lucrative profit by taking car pics for people and making car showboards, clocks and some other items too since she cant really work since she had cancer not long ago and is on SS.
