Cool Finally Detailed! 56k no, no.

So, it was nice outside today.. Decided to give her a real detail.

Wash, Clay, Wash, XMT360, PB White Diamond, DP Max Wax. Stoners Window cleaner and Tire dress, Mothers Back to black on the chin, mirrors grill delet and wiper panel, Megs Plastic X on the headlights. Ran out of time to polish the wheels, but they'll get done tomorrow with Mothers.

Pictures after the XMT only.

The rest are after it was complete. Didn't have enough time to do anything in-between.

Just a Casio Exilim EX-Z50 Point & Shoot 5.0 mp.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, felt a great sense of accomplishment when I finished this one. I think it is probably one of the best exterior details that I've ever done. Very happy with the results.

Looks nice and dirty I like it! Lol. The wing is looking good dude. I'm sure these pics don't do any justice for how shiny and clean the car really is. Good work man. I need to take the time to do a full detail soon.

It's just a simple point & shoot, by far not high quality. Hoping to upgrade soon.

After having it for over 3 years I've just managed to learn to use it to the best of it's capabilites.

Aaah it really is simple, but takes very good pics. My camera is the Z1485 IS from kodak easy share, if you can get the camera steady it takes great shots, but otherwise its kinda annnoying. And some times its very hard to get a steady shot. If you look at my wheel thread, the pics look like dogshit because i couldnt get them steady.

Kodak has never been known to make a very good digital camera, I haven't looked into them much recently so they may have gotten better now.. Their image stabilization(sp?) has always been an issue.

My fiance has the upgraded version of my camera 7.0mp and it doesn't take pictures as well as mine does. Who knows? It's odd.

When you get the camera still it takes really nice shots, clear and etc. If i plan on keeping it i might need to by a tripod or something, its that bad.

I usually use a tripod with my Casio, just didn't have time today, was losing daylight fast.

I don't know the exact definition of a megapixel, but higher is typically better.. More MP also means that your print size can be larger without distorting the image. That depends highly on the image processor as well. Some cameras have extremely high megapixel ratings, but the pictures don't turn out well.

Anyway, enough thread derailing. Time to get back to the topic.

Here are a couple more reflection pics. These again are only after the XMT360, the end result was actually better than even these..

Hmm.. Sort of.. It's kind of like an all-in-one swirl remover/ paint cleaner/ sealer. It can remove some mild swirls & marring, as well as leave a smooth finish. http://autogeek.net/xmt-360.html

haha! Old school showing our true colors.. Just shows how long some of us have been here.

As far as the door reflection, mine was very similar before today..

What kind of detailing have you done to your car? I went through the full process today, so I'm sure the clay bar really helped to remove the dirt particles that block reflection. It actually had so many contaminants that I had to throw my clay bar away after I finished today, so that could be a contributing factor. Other than that, I'm really not sure man.

This was a few days ago, the car was a little dirty, but you can see that the reflection isn't the same on the door as the rest of the car.

Looks great! But I think I like the matte look of the chin spoiler instead of glossy
