Default MMMMM... Dark Horse

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-MUSTANG-SALEEN-H302DH-DARK-HORSE-5-0L-MSRP-94-345_W0QQitemZ350185878607QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Car s_Trucks?hash=item350185878607&_trksid=p4506.c0.m2 45&_trkparms=72%3A317|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308

Such a great looking car . And what amazes me is the fact that it has a 620hp 5.0L engine, yet it costs LESS than the KR (which IIRC puts out only 540hp.) Something tells me it might weigh less as well.

if thats 86,000 its not less then the 540hp KR

and the KR is the name, if we goto a show or something and you say you have a "dark horse" and I say Ive got a "King of the Road" that says something right there...

At a show a Dark horse would be alot less likely to show up then a KR it was a very limited run

You're right.. The KR is $82k. I had it in my head that it cost $90k for some reason.

Hmm.. It's nice & all, but definitely not worth the money IMHO. Also, unless the dealership was offering a warranty there would be no buying of a Saleen product for me.. lol

definitely seems like a bad *** car, but not 94k worth, but then again what modern mustang is worth that much, not even the KR.

garage the KR for 50 years and repeat that statement while your watching it being bid on @ christies, mecums or barrets.

and do the same for the saleen.. yet the saleen might not be worth 40 lol

well sure in 50 years, but very few people have the expendable income to buy a car as an 'investment'. If i bought either of those cars, I would drive/mod the **** out of them, no buying cars to let them sit for me.

If all you wanted was a fast car, you could buy a crapped out car and throw a 1000hp big block into it with some supporting goodies. This, along with the KR, is more of a collectors car than anything else.

Anyone who buys a car and keeps it as a "collector" item deserves to be castrated in my mind. Do you think a prominent race car driver would build a car company to produce "collector" cars.....I think not. I'd buy that car and smoke every corvette in town.

Also, I don't see the KR being worth jack in the future. Yes it is Shelby's car, but the car is assembled on the same assembly line as the V6. Now, if it was a 427 or the Shelby 1 then it'd be worth more after he died because they're built from ground up at Shelby. The KR is nothing but a high horsepower mustang that Shelby stamps his name on.
