the D3000 sucks balls.
if yer looking for an inexpencive DSLR, i reccommend the D40. It is cheap, excellent images, and 6.1mp really is enough for almost any need. If you plan to pick this up as a hobby and think you will enjoy spending tons of cash on lenses, flashes, etc, then look at either the Nikon or Canon line. if you just want a DSLR and dont plan to spend a lot of money into it, the bottom end Pentax DSLRs are hard to beat, the only problem is the pentax camera systems are not nearly as extensive as Nikon or Canon which offer full on professional equipment, Pentax seems to top out at the higher-end consumer level rather than professional level. So while they are capped in thier performance on the high end, performance per dollar they are very hard to beat. |
