Default Flat black bullits?

I have been wanting to do this for years. After seeing these pics I might have to go do it to hold me over till I get some Black Saleens. Looks like I might be doing some painting this weekend.

I'm normally not a big fan of dark wheels on white cars, but I must say I like the way that looks . My only problem is that the black paint makes them look much smaller.

I don't mind it.. but I don't see the "flat" black. Just look like black bullitts without the chrome lip.

I'm hopping off the bandwagon. I like it. It's different and I think looks pretty good... but black Saleens would be much better.

I don't like black rims unless they have a big chrome lip. Black rims on a black tire just doesn't do it for me.

I agree for the most part. I don't mind all black rims if they aren't deep dish. I think they would look pretty cool if the polished lip was still present.

^ Love 'em! Don't really like the style of the second one, though, but the black is awesome.

Looks awesome to me. I have a lot of black on my car such as the dark chin spoiler, rear bumper inserts, and black "Mustang GT" stripes down the side of my car so I think it would look good. Plus I have never seen another GT with flat black bullits. But those are more of a matte then flat black. I already checked out some pricing on supplies and its only around $35 to paint all of my wheels so I might really have to do this.

the badass thing with powder coat is that you can add as much texture as you want or have a mirror finish. he had his done in a matte/satin finish.

You finally got a chin spoiler!

And holy hell, I never knew your car had those black stripes on the bottom. I just now looked at Ryan's gallery and realized that they were there!

Very nice. It's a shame he didn't polish the tires though. And since we're on the subject of powdercoating, what does it usually cost to have a set of wheels done?

check out my thread..i was just quoted at a shop in glendale arizona for 150 bucks for all 4 wheels!...now thats cheap as **** with hidden costs for sure...im in germany so i dont know what that or can find out the hidden costs at the moment...

i would expect to pay between 70-130 per wheel at typical knowledgeable shops

That's still pretty good, especially if your wheels need to be refinished anyways.

That's why I like it cause its very different. Only thing is that I would be stuck on 8" wide wheels. I think I might grab two 9" wide bullits used off ebay or the like with bad paint for the back wheels. Have them powder coated matte black and toss them on. I do like the look of bullits that's why I have never swapped wheels. I just need it to look different. But I would like to have a little more tire out back.

That's crazy because just the other day I was wondering what solid black bullitt's would look like. I also wondered what they would look like if instead of a chrome lip and black spokes what they would look like with a black lip and chrome spokes?

See, I don't mind the dd true forged rims however I still think they'd look better if it the dd was chrome, but as far as the bullitts are concerned I don't like them at all.

What about all black with the thin silver lip showing just to break it up from your tires a bit? A quick chop.

Or maybe if you do all black you can add a small red pinstripe like the old vintage rims or like the racing rims? Dress up the center cap with something with red on it. Just throwing some ideas out for ya.
