White stangs with window tint
#5
The only thing I hate about it being so dark is at night I can't see the curb when I back up, but that rarely happens.
You can't have tintted windows there?

I had 20% On my mustang and it was too dark for me.. It was fine during the day, but at night it was really hard to back up or to get a clear view of the mirrors. I'll definitely be going lighter next time I get tints.. JMHO.

Go 20%...15 is almost no difference at all during the day because the sun reflecting makes it look dark nonetheless. 15 or 20% will give you a dark but still slightly see-through tint, whereas 5% is limousine and almost impossible to use at night. I have 20% on my car and the cobra and I would never go darker. Like WN said it's ridiculous at night to try and see anything when you're backing up.

I agree, I would so bang her in the butt. :O
That's what I thought, but then again I wouldn't care, so that's why I asked. I just like the fact that not everyone can see in the car that easy or not even at all. I wish I could help, but I'm not having any lock finding pictures my self. I can't even find out the tint of my window. It just says medium and what not. :/
I love how dark mine is, but you're right about the whole backing up problem. I hate having to roll down the window just to back up. I believe it's only the passenger side it's hard for me to see out of since it's farther away.

Not yet..... I've had to work 8-10 hour shifts since last Tuesday and haven't gotten pictures of it yet....I have pictures of the Cobra though....
That's not me standing next to the door...just a guy admiring the tachometer at the track.
That's with 20% tint...

That sucks bro, but it's good money. If I was you I wouldn't let that guy be touching my Cobra, unless I really knew him. HAHA. If that's 20% Tint I wonder what mine is, because mine is a lot darker then that. All my paper work says is that "Tint Windshield LEvel Medium and Upgrade to Marquise Film" from ProImage Performance.

I'm gunna take a wild guess and say tint film put on his current windows.

I know if you have the film and you get busted by the cops you can just take it off.
But if it's the window being tinted then you have to replace it.

I had 15% on the sides, and not sure on the back window, it wasn't as dark, I would venture to say 25% but can't be sure since it was on the car when I bought it. The only reason I know the sides is that my friend had 20% put on his car and mine was darker than his. And I know the sides had to be around 15% since my cobra's tint is much much darker.

yeah you can see the mirrors. I mean if you are some unlit dark road you wont' see much of anything, but if there is any overhead lighting or other cars around then you can see alright. I loved how dark it was, and wouldn't want it any other way.

My girlfriends white mustang had some pretty dark tint, had to be darker than 15% but I don't know exactly what it was. It was hard to see out of at night. I might be able to drag up a picture of it.

I have 15% all around, except the windshield. It is 35%. I don't think it is difficult to see out of at all. If I had it my way, I'd get it redone 5% all around, 15% on the windshield.
Pee, I can see my side mirrors at night. But if I'm in an extremely dark area, I just roll my windows down as an added precaution. I usually don't have to do that, though.
I'd also like to say that 15% tint looks a hell of a lot darker in pictures than it does in person. I am not happy with how dark it is in person, which is why I want to go darker.

I think 15% is dark enough for me, it should look black on a white car. I understand your POV though since your car is black, the tint will always look brighter than the paint unless you do limo. And you tinted the windshield, you crazy? hahaha

I mainly tinted my windshield for protection for my red seats. I'd rather pay a tint ticket than have to pay to replace my seats when they turn pink.
