The head lights on Mustangs throughout the years have always been distinctive. Doing anything to change they way they look, IMO, looks wrong. Might as well hang a sign on the car that says "look at me, I am 17". Not to mention, just a big giant waste of money. So Halos and projectors, IMO, just look goofy...don't ruin the car.

Making them brighter...no problems there. Just toss in a set of Silverstars and call it a day, or if you can make the HIDS work, then there is an option. If you look at Swervo's car, that is the way they should look....just like stock, but brighter.

Yeah I like his too, but I have a problem with liking any kind of blue. :/ My car has stupid Halo BMW lights I believe, but it's okay I'm not keeping the car.

Halo projectors suck, the LED's WILL eventually burn out, the actual "projector" is a piece of **** and totallycompletely useless. If you think your headlights are dim now, just wait. I assume the AM ones are exactly the same as the ones that I had and if they are, the halogen bulb closest to the grill of the car (farthest from the turn signal) is the high beam and the "projector" is the low beam. In the set that I had on my Mustang, the projector bulb was completely sealed and impossible to replace with any standard halogen or HID bulb.

Do yourself a favor and order a standard non-projector replacement headlight from AM. Seal it up with silicone and get a good set of 35w bi-xenon HID's.

I just ordered my HID's from www.sharphid.com (35w bi-xenon, lifetime warranty, $140) and they will be here by Wed. I'm going to post up some photos and a review when I get them in.
Reading is your friend, just in case you missed it, this is my post. ^^

I am aware that with the style of light they will not be as bright because obviously they only give light from a ring and not a full circle, they are for show, thats the whole point, I want to add as much as I can to my car to make it more of a head turner. I could care less if the road isn't as bright, thats what street lights are for. As for these other lights people are mentioning called HID, what do they look like, are they just the same old boring stock look, if so why would I want them, I just said I don't care how bright they are!
Did you even read my post? I specifically said that I had them and they suck. You want to waste your money on a piece of **** that you'll replace in 3-6 months, go for it! Just don't want to hear any bitchin' later, 'cause all you'll hear from us is "we told ya so."

to do it correctly be prepared to spend about $1k. if i were you, just stick with the stock housings and get some silverstars.
-1 not true at all. You must just live around people that don't understand the concept of adjusting the headlight aim

WOW. Your opinion sucks!

First off, NO! Mustang head lights are not really that distinctive, in the 60's and 70's and even now, they are round, wow round lights I haven't seen that before. I own a 2001 Mustang and I don't think the lights are that distinctive at all, thus wanting a set of halo projectors. And how do Halo Projectors say I am 17 if your 22 there Mr. Admin? How come the most stupidest comments always come from Admins or Moderators on this website. These lights were designed by adults for adults. I don't know any 17 year old's with Mustangs, most 17 year old have hard times holding down a job let alone owning their own car, and customizing it. However I am quite sure their are 17 year old's and even 16 year old's that have much better taste than yourself. Also saying "look at Swervo's car, that is the way they should look....just like stock, but brighter." Yah that's cool, bright lights are really head turning, the way the illuminate the night, so amazing! Who Cares! It's one thing if you want that for better driving at night but they are NOT a customization as in they look just like stock lights.

And yeah, most HIDs are definitely NOT just "like stock but brighter"

BTW: when the Mustang was originally made, its design was mostly to appeal to the nation's youth. You know, teenagers.

LOL he is much older then most of us, nothing wrong with that.

But dude you need to calm down its just someones opinion about headlights. If you like them then get them as its your car man. None of our opinions should matter when it comes your car. Do whatever you want to man.

PS- I'm 23 (24 on Jan 21) and I'm an Admin here, whats wrong with that?

LMAO! Hahahahaha! Grow up little boy. Oh no, he's hurting my feelings over the interwebz! waaaaahhhhhh! Mommmmmy!

Why would you trust my opinion? You probably wouldn't, but at the same time, you don't seem to trust anyone's opinion but your own so at this point it wouldn't matter if I was Carol Shelby.

Just an FYI, n00b. My first car was a '98 Atlantic Blue Mustang, I had that car @ 14 years old until I was almost 20. My brother had a 64 1/2 and a 67 Mustang, My Uncle has had an '88, '90, '98 and now an '05 all heavily modified, so to say I've been around Mustangs for well.. My whole life, would be an understatement. I may just know a thing or two.

You obviously know nothing about Mustangs, past or present.. Mustangs were specifically designed for "younger" people, especially low-income folks that wanted a fast, fun car that could be easily and cheaply modified..

If I see one more HID thread by NewEdge, I'm going to go grab a baby out of its stroller and eat it right in the middle of the busiest road in my town and I'm going to mail its bones to NewEdge, after I make a nice little necklace out of them.

I agree with Spike. If you like the lights, get them. Your money, your car, your right.

Yeah...well I live near a Ford dealership, thats right theres like 2 of them, and I lived here my WHOLE life. What do you got to say now bitch! As if knowing someone who owns something means you know **** about it!

P.S

By your definition a Mustang is designed for someone 19 years old and younger thats a range of 4 year of potential buyers since drivers licenses are issues at 16 years of age. Why don't you do us all a favor and wipe your ***, blow your nose, comb your hair and shut up.

Oh and one more thing don't call me a "n00b" unless you have just killed me like 10 times in a row in some fps game please, I am mean you come off quite stupid, but I guess stupid is a step up for you, congrats.

Havokk, we'll eat Taco Bell tonight. At exactly 9pm eastern time, we'll let out a toxic gas cloud towards Prince Edward Island. Winds and weather permitting, I'll assume that the gas cloud will reach him in approximately 3 or 4 hours. NewEdge, as you lie in bed (or do whatever it is that you do at about 12-1am eastern time) you will see a large green gas cloud with the face of Satan himself slowly creep over you and come to a stop. Then you will smell the most deadly concoction to ever exist this earth. Consider yourself lucky if you survive.
