I know, I know, not a Mustang..
Decided to finally give the Stratus a bath today (since it was up to about 55) and decided to snap a few quick pics.. Only changes really are the Sylvania turn signals and the new tires. HID's coming soon (should be here next week) and hope to have the windows tinted by the end of the month. car looks good man, and of course any time you wash a car it always tends to bring rain, I know it does for me.
|
Yeah I'm lucky right now, I just got my car washed and everything, looks so nice, and I love how my rims were done. I just wish I could take pictures and hopefully the weather stays dry. :/

Picture of my pony with 8000K bi-xenon HIDs http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/850...2685by1jg7.jpg (8000K is the color temperature, which is light blue in this case. they can come in any color all the way up to crazy deep blue purple, but that hurts the actual amount of visible light) |

Google is your friend. But otherwise, they are High Intensity Discharge headlamps. Basically they use xenon gas and ballasts to create much brighter light using less power.

Cant have red HIDs. You can go yellow,white,white/blue tint, blue, super blue, purple. That's it for the color choices. The higher up the scale you go in temp the less actual light that is projected.
|
love the pics. But for hid's, idk i couldnt put that much money toward lights when the fogs would be different unless you spent more money and got those hid too.
|
Its the next step, but I do not drive the pony anymore, she will get them as soon as spring time comes =D

I wouldn't pay to have HID's installed its super easy to do it yourself

I got mine for 110 shipped, and they are bi-xenon, which means you still get low and high beams. So 40 dollars for labor? It took around 30-45 mins, mostly due to inconvenient choices for mounting locations for the ballasts on our cars.
I failed to mention earlier I always thought those year stratus looked good. And yours is a damn clean example. Even if it is a damn mopar. |

No, it is not just a bulb. "Xenon" headlight may just be bulbs, its a word thrown around with "HID look!" and crap like that. You want real HIDs which means a bulb that works more like a florescent system, and ballasts which up the power to the headlights. Completely different.
But seriously lets not jack this thread further, I feel like a pirate. |
