Default in market for new stang

well i went to the local ford lincoln mercury dealer earlier and took a look at this bad boy is this what most new vehicles like this go for (roush)? I am considering it since i would be the 1st owner, but there are some good/great deals for cobras on the svtperformance forum the only deal is i dont know how much those cars have been abused. this one seems to be quite up there as far as performance but does anyone know if this car has head cooling issues like the termi? i REALLY want a saleen like99-04 but havent found any that are reasonably priced since most are pretty used. Does this seem like a fair price for the 427R kinda gotta make my mind up salesman said that 3 other dudes have been interested in it but they might tell everyone that wifey isnt too enthused about it but ill only qualify with her on the financing cant be done with myself getting financing. Also i could prolly find a gt500 for that price but have trouble finding one in area.

those payments are gonna be huge, even with a trade-in and down payment i have a hard time believing it would be under 500 a month, at least another 150-200 for insurance.

if you can do it go for it, but keep the wifey in mind. but damn that is a beautiful car.

yeah it could get pretty pricey for a 40G stang but I mean isnt that what the termis were going for brand new? A friend of a friend is selling a marauder but its automatic and I know for a fact that the transmission has either been replaced or fixed, its nice but i dont want to buy his problems thats why im kinda thinking about buying new and as far as wifey goes to here there is no way to pitch a 40 grand mustang as a legitamit buy when a new GT can be had for like 10,000+ cheaper. But new stang GTs are a dime a dozen but it would still be a step up from my 6er. I would even consider buying a 99-01 cobra but there arent to many nice examples around here, even machs are now kinda hard to find. it never dawned on me to wait for the 2010 stang but the v8's will prolly be like 30-35 right?

The roush's are nice, but if you really want a 99-04 saleen, wait till you find one. Nothing like getting the exact car you want. That or look for an 03/04 cobra vert and put a saleen body kit on it. You will have the looks you want and a much better motor/modding platform than a saleen.
