I want Photoshop CS2 or CS3
So I've gotten to the point where I'm sick of my $90 Paint Shop Pro, and want to upgrade to Photoshop. And I know a lot of you use torrents for that stuff, but call me old school because I want to do it legally. Where is the cheapest place I can get it that's legit? I did a quick google search and the cheapest I found was like $299 plus $3.99 s/h on some amazon type site. I heard on some site you can do the student discount? If so, what site is that and what's the price?

well if youre a student, theres plenty of sites that do education discounts on software, just do a google search for "software education discount", i think i got cs3 for ~450?, that was roughly 2yrs ago though.
cs4 is almost out

And Acttacus, what's a uni book store? Is that a chain, or a type of store? You're not the first I've heard of getting bundles for $199, which would be awesome because I also want Elements, and Premiere, but would settle for Photoshop for $199. It's a hell of a lot better than the $699 we sell CS3 Standard Full Version for at Office Depot.

Oh I goto NC State Uni, and just bought it from the counter at the bookstore. Most Uni bookstores should have some types of crazy student bundle discounts. Think they call it a Adobe CLP 4.0 Student License Agreement I think, to allow the Uni to buy licenses at dirt price and sell them to students.

university book stores have it, but you need to be a student/teacher. like i said earlier, the online sites also offer similar discounts on software, you just need to send them copies of educational credentials, a college ID for example.

Ah, I see. I don't like them yet, from what I've seen anyway. But you know how those spy shots can be...
I'm hoping my next car is either an '08 Bullitt or an '05/'06 Shelby. But I'm still a ways out of getting a new car, so I don't really have to worry about that much now.

Hmm...just downloaded the trial of CS3. So far I like it. CS4 comes out on November 7th, or something like that, so maybe I'll go that route. On the Adobe site, with a student discount, I can get Photoshop CS4 extended for $299. Well anyway, here's what I was playing around with and what it turned into since getting the trial...

Cobra FB, and mildly extended front end. Hatchback, and windows. Not to mention the side scoop and the hood scoop. But the hood scoop was there in the first picture, then in the second, it was merely painted black.

Where'd you get that window design from? That's not exactly an easy chop, untinting the windows and adding and interior and making it look right...lol
All of that fancy work but you can still see the clone stamp signs on the rear bumper, and the distorted tires from the drop. Are you SURE you didn't find that picture how it was, already a fastback, and just drop it? Not wanting to doubt you or anything, but making an S197 into a fastback after having just a couple of hours of photoshop experience would qualify as amazing. And if you did do all that, well that's amazing. haha

I was trained on Photoshop. Just cloned a couple of a pictures and smudged some to get a feel for it again. And I realized the clone stamps on the bumper and lack of a rear deflector after I posted.
Here is the image where I got the Scoop, windows, and louvers from.

Ah okay, that makes more sense. As I read your post it seemed as if you said you manually changed it into a fastback. But now I see you just chopped some parts of that mach concept and did a color change, makes sense. Nice job though. You probably should set the opacity on the clone stamp higher though, you can still see the reflector.

Yeah, I'm no magician. Just trying to remember how to use Photoshop. I got pretty good at Paint Shop, no Pro, but much better than average Joe. However some, well most of the features I enjoyed in Photoshop were not available in PSP, hence the switch.

My 2 cents
Like the hatchback look, but went with the original windows.
PS sorry about the low quality, feeling a little lazy today to work with fine pixels
