Should I take off my sidestripes
#2
im not a fan of side stripes, you can always see what else they have, they do have black side vinyls like the ones i have.
my rec is to ditch the sidestripes, and have the hood and cpillars painted black.
photoshop that **** up.

Jacks idea FTW.
How about new side stripes? The mustang lettering on yours looks bad to me.

You have plenty of black to compliment your wheels. Mirrors, chin spoiler, grille, bumper inserts, tail lights, parts of your windows....

Well I decided to take them off, I got the passenger side stripe off, but am having a tough time getting the glue residue off...tried 70% isopropyl and goo gone and there's still a good bit on the paint. Do I need to let the goo gone sit on it for a while?

my reccommendation is 3m adhesive remover. soak a paper towerl with it and use painters tape to tape the towel to the car where the stripe is, after 10-15 min the residue turns into a jelly that wipes right off.

I got most of it off, there's still residue from the small pin striping though. I decided to leave the word Mustang on the door for now, I think it looks pretty good but I'll post pics to get judged..haha. I ran out of light so I won't be able to finish until after class tomorrow. So one side of my car has stripes, the other doesn't..haha
I went to autozone to get some 3m adhesive remover but they didn't have any so I had to get goo-gone..I'll try the soaking paper towel/tape thing with that though.

oh no!! that was the worst mod I ever did to my car, and I only kept them on for ~6months(eek!) before I realized it looked very tacky.

Maybe it looks different in person but I'd take the mustang letters off. They seem very out of place. I guess they kinda match your rear bumper inserts, but it seems kinda ricey to me. I mean, everyone already knows its a mustang already, no need to remind us. haha!

doesn't look to bad but I agree with the mustang thing like steeda said. Reminds me of the people that put Mustang on their windshield. It's different though and it does add I nice touch of color on the sides without going overboard

I see where you're coming from, but the stickers were on the car originally..lol. If I tint the windows I'll probably take them off, but my black wheels would look way out of place without X amount of black stuff to go with it.

pcola the lettering looks fine to me, maybe get the saleen slashes, like jack has on his stang, for in front of the lettering. My only problem with the lettering as of now, is it isn't pushed to the front of the door.
edit: like these but with your mustang lettering instead

Tint your windows then. I also was starting to like it without lettering, too...lol

I think it looks good with "mustang" on the side, but would look sleek without it too, especially with dark tint. You can always take 'em off, but it would of course cost to replace them. Personally, id leave 'em, at least until you have no doubt you want to remove it.
