Default Proof the world is full of a**holes

Had to grab a few groceries on my way home today and parked as far away from all other vehicles as possible. Since the Kroger employees park in back spots i have to pick the area in between employee and customer. I always park where there are no other cars and not likely to be any. And when I get back to my car this is what I found:

I hate when the happens. I always park in the very back even if it does **** my passenger off because there to lazy to walk. I think people are just lazy now a days to lazy to walk a few feet and put the cart up.

LOL I am one of those ********. When people feel the needs to park all the way in the back and take up two parking spots by parking on the line rather than in the stall I will go park right next to them.

A few examples...

When they park like this because "I have a really nice car that means I get to park like an idiot and take up two, sometimes three spots just so no one and their Geo Metro can park anywhere near me"

They get this treatment.

I came out of my local grocery store one time to find that a cart had hit my car. If I had seen who had done it

I will expand on my earlier post. I don't do this to people who park towards the back just to have their car around nothing else, that is fine. I do this to people who still park up as close as they can but park over the line so no one can be in a spot and right next to them. O

What I do is I park far away, but within the lines. Then I take a cart, and put it in one of the neighboring stalls. Very rarely do people move the carts to park next to me. When they do, they generally maintain their distance. But for the select few who don't, they may find a few more carts blocking their car from all angles.

you parked so close to the cart catcher you should have guessed that would have happened.

i park all they way in the back, but if its a Friday its better to park near every one else or the ricers park next to you.

WTF who puts a cart that close to a cavalier? It might scratch the paint on that sexy beast.

ARE U F***ING HIGH!!!!

I waited and plotted for years to get this car. This is not just a car, it is a reflection of me. It is a material object but it means way more than just transportation, I put alot of blood, sweat and tears into getting this car and I'm just getting started getting her the way I want. And for some one to deliberately try to mess it up because they can't get passed their jealousy is beyond wrong.

When I parked, there wasn't a car or cart anywhere near me. This is like the most inconveinent area of the lot to park and I usually have no problems but I guess it was national ******* day.

I wasnt when I typed that, but I am a tad bit now...lol...so...

It is just a car...it can be replaced.

I get what you are saying though, it would bother me too if a person deliberately hit my car with a cart or anything.

but by the looks of your picture...someone who is just probably passionate about something other than cars left their cart in the vicinity of your car...at least it didnt hit it.

Consider it a battle scare. It sucks but just remember its a DD and those dents are bound to happen I would do what some suggest just part away and put some carts around you. I tend to look for spaces next to a curb.

I agree, I dont doubt that you put tons of work into that car, but you'll be a much happier person if you go ahead and realize that **** happens and that it IS just a car. If you drive it at all, something is BOUND to happen to it. And Id also go as far as to say that the person meant nothing by leaving the cart there, only that they were too lazy to walk it back to the return.

I always park as far away as I can, but i only use one spot. Taking up 2 just causes ******** to come alive, and fck with your car. I think we are all just basically trying to keep door dings to a minimum.

I figure at least well over 50% of people are alone when they park, so i park a little closer to the left side of the line. Gives more room for the driver next to you to open without slamming your car. But that's a double edge sword if 2 people are in the car.

Most people could care less about your car and don't even say ouch when they give you a big ole chip in the paint.

Sometimes you can park next to a car you know someone is proud of and you can be sure they wouldn't whacked their door on your car.

But you are right, if someone wants to fck with a car, it really doesn't matter where or how you park..

I had a much closer call than that involving a shopping cart. A little over a year ago, I went to Costco. Now, Costco being Costco, their carts (like their products) are about twice the size of a normal grocery cart. Plus, their sidewalk curbs are about 2 inches higher than normal. I parked in the last space along one of the walks. Go in, do my thing and come back out. On the passenger side, laying on its side, next to the fender, is one of their shopping carts. On the fender itself; is a nice big ol' dent and several trailing scratch marks. I could've punched my mother, I was so pissed.

Yeah, I do park next to really nice cars if I can, especially other mustangs that I can tell the owners are particular about. Not only to protect my car but also to check out theirs.
