My gas saving buddy...
Its a 2008 Tomos Targa LX. fun to putt putt around on and it will be my commuting vehicle on dry days. 100+mpg and so far its hit 32mph on flat ground...it gets faster as the engine breaks in. Top speed by the time i throw a few hop ups at it should be about 45mph in second gear. (it only has 2 gears..lol) Since I live about 3 miles from work, it just doesnt make sense to fire up the Stang every day for that short of a trip. Plus I am trying to save the miles on it because it is for sale. Based on current gas prices, this moped will pay for itself in less than a year just from the gas savings it provides.

its only supposed to do 30mph max, and only after a 300 mile engine break in, so I'd say I'm doing pretty good hitting 32 miles per hour with a whopping 30 miles on the odo. It might beat your sixer to 30...lol. haha doubt it.
If they made them in white, I would have gotten it. my choices were red, black and silver. I thought silver looked the best out of the three...nice thing was that they had one of each sitting next to each other so I could see them all at one time and compare.

yes those are pedals. used to start the bike and pedal it if you had to...they are there to meet some stupid law requirement making it a "motorized bicycle" instead of a scooter or straight up motorcycle.

lol....
Well hell zig, i just cant really ever think something like that is "cool" but it definatly makes sence and if i diddnt have a 20 mile commute highway i would probably be picking one up myself.
honestly i think more people really oughtta look into buying something like that. cars are just too damn expencive, and unfortunatly gas prices are just gonna keep rising, something like that makes a lot more sence.

I don't know where you got your numbers from, but ford claims somewhere around 13/21mpg, and thats with a 20hp 4cyl car weighing a total of 1200 pounds... plus the weight of driver and 10 gallons of fuel
(21 isnt really a 'highway' rating, given the car only did ~40)

130mpg? 130 miles-to-the-tank

Ummm, no. He was born in Michigan and his father was from Ireland which would not make him Canadian.

How much did that cost by the way?
I got a bike myself around 2 months ago for under $4k and it gets 45-55mpg depending on how heavy on the throttle I am. And mine goes alot faster then 35mph. Im just wondering really why not just get a motorcycle instead of a slow moped?

it was $1299.00.
I didnt get a motorcycle because I dont want to have to get a license and I didnt want to spend more than $1500. also didnt want something that was in any way fast...that reduces the chances that Ill get hurt on it. I wanted the very cheapest in reliable transportation and 100mpg.

By Canadian co. I think you mean that they built/ build cars in Canada because if I'm not mistaken (which I may well be) they do have a factory in Canada?.
BUT they are not a "Canadican Company." Meaning that they are not owned/ operated by Canadians eh.

So Ford who was born in Michigan (United States of America) and was the son of an Irish man (From Ireland) some how decided to start a Canadian Company in Michigan none the less. That's interesting. Just face it, the only big time person Canada has popped out is Bryan Adams. haha
