Default Progress on project.....

Yes another race car project thread....HOWEVER, I am committed since I just dropped $1700 on the Coil Overs, $600 on the cage, $500 on the brakes and about another $1,000 on miscellaneous stuff....being single aint that bad.

Oh yeah, for those that don't remember what car I am building, it is a 1985.5 Porsche 944. First race in 3 weeks:

Well, after 1 long week of hard work, the race car is DONE!! Yes, I have finally completed a build of an ACTUAL Road Course Race Car. I am here in Savannah Georgia getting ready to run it for the first time tomorrow and Sunday. I will have better pics, and I didn't get a chance to get all the graphics done, but here are two pics. Full in car video to come tomorrow night.

My next door neighbor races a 944 here at Road Atlanta. I believe he just set the course record for his class.

Have fun Mike!

So you traded in your slow Mustang for a pretty fast Trans Am, then traded in your pretty fast Trans Am for a Civic thats even slower than the slow Mustang.

Dang.

LOL I sold the Mustang, drove the Trans Am for about 8 months, got a sweet *** speeding ticket, got sick of the Trans Am, decided I was tired of buying used cars that always bite me in the ***, and have ALWAYS wanted a Civic, but I guess Im just a ricer inside.

Civic handles better than both too And at 197 hp and 2800 lbs, its not that much slower than a stock new edge

But the real treat is getting 30 mpg which effectively doubled the Trans Am and Mustangs mileage. I do miss the Mustangs sound terribly though

nowadays 30mpg aint nothing to shake a stick at thats for sure with gas prices being as craZy as they are.

im actually pretty much with yaa matt, i drive my honda 95% of the time. Its gotten to the point where i used to say the honda was just a commuter, my mustang is my REAL car.

now i realize, the honda is my real car, the mustang is the one in the garage i cant afford to put gas in.

lol....

lol sucks dont it.

I mean, I love this little car, zero doubt that Ill keep it for many years to come. Unless its a Vette, not sure when the next V8 car will come, its just not feasible anymore...

Well here is the latest....not only is the race car a legal race car, but as of Saturday, September 20th 2008 I am a legal licensed N.A.S.A. race car driver. Passed Competition School and went on to race on Sunday.

What would an MCM Motorsports post be without a video:

oh....and here is the car all lettered up too:
