Updated pictures of my 08 GT (non-56k friendly)

Well, it was my day off. I had a few errands to run, but I finished them early. Since it was nice out I figured I would paint my calipers and throw a quick coat of wax on.

Here's how it sits...

I'll probably have a local body shop spray the front chin spoiler with in the next week or so.

Mirror inserts should be mandatory on all 05+ stangs.

what wax do you use? what do you apply it with? lol

 

Meguiars Gold Class. I just use a clean applicator pad everytime, and buff off with about 3-4 new micro-fiber towels.

As if I haven't already told you this numerous times... I hate you, I hate you, I hate you! Even MORE than I did before.. You have no idea, that is like my dream car.. Not even joking, glassback roof, blue seat inserts...... Uggh..

Looks great man, but what happened to your old GT and it's turbo plans? (At least that's the last thing I think I remember hearing)

 

I'll try make it short and to the point. I was going to get a brand new condo in South Riding, so I needed to consolidate things a bit. I knew that later down the road when I could afford it, I would get another Mustang and complete what I had started. However things got weird, I started to get hit with all these hidden fees which I didn't like, so I backed out. Well, I still wanted to at least see what Ford wanted for my 07. They gave me a decent price to buy it out right, but I saw the 08 on the show room floor and fell in love with it. I haggled with them for a bit, and before you knew it, they had taken x amount off of the 08 and given me even more of a trade in value on the 07. In combination with a promotion at work, things just fell into place one thing after another.

Sick ride man!!! At the dealership the other day, I came REAL close to getting an '08....but with my credit it would have shot my payment up $100 over what it would be with the '04 I got, which I couldn't do, so ended up not getting the '08...

Are glass tops an option with the '08's now??? that is TIGHT!!!

 

Na, it's an option in 09. This is the aftermarket CDC version.

very nice '08! my wife (who drove many a mustang while working at the local Ford dealership before we got married) told me about the glass roof for '09. if it's anything like yours (haven't seen pics of the '09 roof yet), it's better than what I imagined.

BTW, it took 10 years, but I finally got my wife out of under-powered small suvs and back into a 'stang.
