Default There's an engine in the mutt!

got it in there today

longtubes are installed, AC compressor and PS pump are installed, I need to modify the mounting points for the tranny cross-member. Then it is on to connecting stuff up, installing the intake, and buttoning things up :wtg:

Some of today's progress:

drilled new holes for tranny mount, routed some cables, installed driveshaft, blower, started test fitting blower piping.

Also found out that I got NPI gaskets by mistake so I ordered some new ones that will be here monday. Here are a couple of pictures:

teksid block, manley rods, diamond cp pistons (18cc dish), cobra crank, crower stage 2 blower cams.

I'm keeping the boost around 10 psi right now and getting a good hp jump out of the headers, cams, and methanol

Making about 425 right now you think? Nice setup.

I made 414 rwhp before the cams/headers/meth so I'd like to see close to 500. (that's dynojet numbers, I was at 381 on a mustang dyno)

That car will be sick!

This whole Mustang Dyno vs Dyno Jet thing drives me nuts. It is like metric vs. American.

My car made 380...I am assuming that was on a Mustang Dyno.

I cut my x pipe to length tonight. gotta bring it into the exhaust shop and have them flare the ends with the flanges installed. Picked up the right intake manifold gaskets, welded some plates onto my power pipe for the air lines. I'll have some nice manifolds and have to make some cork gaskets for those. then once the intake is on I can finish the intake elbow and get those powdercoated.

I'm getting closer, hopefully it is running early next week or maybe by the end of this week!

The x-pipe is in, it doesn't quite fit right but it will work for now. needs to be bent differently but it is a 2 piece so I made it work. I also cut a nice big hole under the power pipe/aftercooler so I can run my bypass valve and other lines with less hassle. tomorrow I'll probably play with the methanol kit and maybe the wideband commander a bit since I shouldn't have the intake parts in yet.

Here's a few pictures from today:
