Should I lose the side stripe?

Should I lose the side stripe?
Alright, I've been thinking about this off and on since I got the wheels. The side stripe on my car isn't very common with the rest of the V6 stangs, I've only seen it on maybe 10 other ones, the rest of the 00's have the straight stripe wit the small text at the front of the door, where as my stripe is arched with MUSTANG stretched across the door (some people on 3.8 insist it's aftermarket..but I'm pretty sure it's not.) It goes well with the white/black look IMO but do you think it makes it look kind of.."dirty"?
Pending funds I'm going to be tinting the windows this week since it's now springbreak and the florida summer is right around the corner. Should I see how it looks after that and then post pics again ? lol

well at least the back end has a few details...and thats the only view you'd get anyway. hahahahaha.
oh, and Pcola...next thing I'd do if I were you is ditch those gay "flamer M" centercaps.

Ditch em! i had "mustang gt" decal and decided it would look good with the black/grey theme i was going with but IMO it's too much going on if that makes any sense. And plus my cobra side skirts didn't match up well with where the decal was... And without the decal, your stang will look sooooo much cleaner!! o and nice wheels btw, i need some BLACK wheels ASAP! Post some pics on what you decide to do.. tint/no decal is my vote & will look great!!

already have the bullitt sidescoops in my garage ready to be prepped, painted and installed....they even came with the double sided tape. lol

Those damned centercaps are so expensive..can't justify spending 70$ on that..lol
and jack, my car is far from plain...lol..well atleast it will be in a month.

$70? thats a small price to pay to remove gayness from all four corners of your ride.

Haha. wait. PCola? Didn't i suggest removing the side stripe ages ago?!?!?!?!?!
But yeah, ditch the stripe. But if you want a stripe, get a plain one without "MUSTANG" on it. We already know its a mustang.
Or get one of those fader decals like Jack has. I like them.

PCola, I thinks its too much Black and White. You need something on the sides but I dont know what. Like the others were saying, maybe a wider or a different color. Can you Photo Shop the side stripes from mustangrn's car put them on yours? Maybe put your spoiler back on.

Id take them off. If it didn't say mustang id say leave them, but its jsut busy in my opinion. If you still want a suddle black line then leave only the pin strip on the bottom remaining. Thats what i did with mine, I had your strips but beige...Heres some pics so you can an idea of what im sayin:

then go to a tint shop and get some 5% tint, and cover the stock center caps that way you have no more gay "m" and it flows with the black of the rim.

Well definatly go with the tail light tent and clear coners. The centercaps either tint or look on ebay to see if you can find pony take offs, i personally like the tri bar pony's the best it gives it factory stock look.
As far as the side strips....go with what YOU want. Depends if you want a little something there or if you like the clean look. All 3 looked great.
If you do get a piece of tint like mustangvsix suggested, tint your sidemarkers while your at it. Just trace a template out and cut them out. I couldn't see wasting $25 on them precut...

Ehh...id go with the second. The last looks jsut empty and plain, and the first is too busy. The second is simple and it flows with the car and helps connect everything.

Alright, well I have a job tomorrow for 50$ so I'll have $180 cash after that..HOPEFULLY that'll be good, we have tons of tinting places around here and I haven't got a clue as to the market price of this stuff so I'll make some phone calls this week. Going to ask Donnie where he got his done (even though they tinted his dot-matrix and didn't apply vinyl..wonder if they know what they're doin)
We shall see.
