Default GT/CS

I had the itch for a real American muscle car for several months. Watching that white Dodge Challenger in Vanishing Point recently pushed me over the edge. The wife used to be a Mustang girl before we got married. Then, she was relegated to driving the "family" vehicle. Now that our boys are off at college she gladly joined the quest for a new Mustang. We settled on the GT/California Special and with a little coaxing I agreed to the dark candy apple red.

Sick! I was so close to buying that same exact one. It is still at my ford dealership on sale for 27k. Man it is beautiful! If i was going to spend the money i decided i'd go with an 03-04 Cobra, or A Black GT/CS with the Black/Dove interior. Sick ride man!

yeah, yeah, I know. The wife and I test drove a stick, but it wasn't as fun as my old Lancer Ralliart. We decided it was too much work for us old farts.

Is there anything different on a CS besides the visuals?

Yeah i'd go with a 5 speed on the S197's because they look sick inside. The SN95's 5 speed looked like ****.

I don't think so. It starts off as a GT Premium.

In fact, if you choose other packages like the GT Appearance package to go with the CS, some features may overlap meaning that you're (I'm) probably paying for some things twice, e.g., bright rolled exhaust tips come with both the CS and GT Appearance. There may be some overlap between the interior upgrade package and the CS, too. I think the MyColor feature that allows you to change the instrument panel backlighting comes with both the interior upgrade pkg and the CS, but I never was too clear on that.

The build and price feature at www.fordvehicles.com is where I started.

Nice and clean car man. That red ain't bad, but white's better for the heat we get down here during summer..lol. You should probably get your windows tinted.

Thanks, P'cola. A friend of mine up here already recommended a place in your home town for the tint. Can't remember the name of the place, but I'll ask him again before summer.

I think World Ford still has the white CS I checked on. The white IS tough, but I ain't lookin' back.

Haha, if it is I'm going to drive by there and take some pics of it and post 'em here to make you remember. lol

I've been looking for a tint place too, need to find a place that's done Mustangs before so they can properly tint the rear window /w the dot-matrix.
