the only thing auto was the white balance. I had control of the shutter speed, aperature, ISO, etc.

 

I must say i haven't driven an evo but i've driven an STI a million times and its not that great.

I have driven 2 evos. one stock and one with an upgraded turbo/intercooler combo. I wasnt inpressed with either of them. probably cause I am used to instant hp and tq...the way only a v8 or larger can deliver.

 

i wont hate...i would like an evo as a dd...

lose little buggers are fast with upgraded turbos...i would know...i was smoked by one.

but put the wing back on!

I'd rather an STI. The image of the evo was ruined by fast & furious and the honda boys that think evo drivers love them.

 

the f&f evos are the most homo effing cars. but i agree...I get revs from so many god damned ricers. less now that my wing is off though.


I agree stock evos and sti's leave something to be desired...but once modded..they are fast. I had 4.10s on the stang plus other bolt ons...and this car feels so much faster. plus with the 2.3 (stroked from the 2.0) it's made torquey

 

I read somewhere where evos would stall after a good old american rumble came at them....details please..

 

evos are prone to knock so I think there were a few with real sensitive knock senors and they'd shutdown (aftermarket ECU, the stock one wont shut down from knock, it'll just blow). so someone probably made it up. i dunno...maybe if someone had a knock sensor so sensitive rumble could shut it off it could happen. but that would make every bump on the road shut it down.

 

My buddy Jeremy has an 01 silver GT with an HP twin turbo kit and fully built motor. Put down 784 horsepower with 24 psi of boost at the wheels on the dyno back in October on Dyno Day. Its a street car as well, just a regular looking car. The exhaust sounds completey stock too. Now, thats a fun car, and would definitely take an evo (nothing against them, I like evo's).

 

uh ok? lol. well MY friend has a record setting evo with 900 hp to the wheels. he would rape your friends mustang! and my dad can beat up your dad.

 

Thats exactly my point. There will always be someone faster so why even say yours is faster. Its not. There are cars on here slower and faster than you. I have seen a 95 gt that put down 1,350 hp on the dyno, but, there are cars faster.

I wouldn't mind an evo or an sti as a DD either. An awd turbo DD would be great right now, especially with all the ice and snow we got here.
