let him do what he wants...if HE thinks it looks good who gives a flying f**k what the 2% of all people who drive cobras think....it doesnt matter, and people who care enough to give a crap if somone elses car has an emblem on it..they need to consider why a stupid emblem makes them mad

He asked for opinions, and that's what was given. He should be happy with what it is, it's a beautiful ride to say the least. I guess if you told them it's a Cobra conversion then that's ok, but don't tell them it's anything other than what it is.

I really dont see it your way, I think when Cobra owners see a Cobra engine they will be impressed and have alot of questions. Now on the other hand if I had a turbo or supercharger on SOHC now that is a poser. Remember that when I open the hood there is going to be a big Blue snake right on the top for all to see, what am I going to say" ahhhhhhhhhh thats not a Cobra its a Worm on steroids" or maybe I can be like Prince and say "the Engine formally know as Cobra" since I cant say the name "Cobra".

I see what was bothering you I put Venom Cobra on the title instead of Mustang Venom. I have made corrections so I guess no more poser, from now on I will refer to the symbol of a Snake as Venom Snake and not Cobra Snake. You never know maybe in the future youll have Cobras wanting to put Venom in their Cobra just remember who is the original lol. Just remember guys I really like Kid Roush's input as it helps on what mistakes not to make or what improvements can be made. If it wasnt for his inspiration I would have not done the stripes.

I think that kit would look okay. Especially painted Black. But I would Flat or Satin Black the section between the tailpipes... and do the same to the screened areas..JMO.

Im leaning toward deleteing the lettering in the rear bumper and getting the Cobra r or 03-04 Cobra bumper in the front.

Man i have a cobra and i think that the idea of the cobra emblem on the side (in the front grill) would be awsome in your car. as far as posing or whatever man it looks good and probally is fast so who cares. as long as you don't put that gt-r emblem i've seen on it (looks like something from a lancer or evo) then it's stright

Car is nice man but i would go with the 10" stripes and remove the small ones on the outside of the large ones

Update I have found the front bumper which will work perfect to mount an intercooler for the turbos. Let me know what you guys think.

You have to remember that I cannot get any bumpers that look good on 99 an up stangs as they have a more chiseled look. 94-98 have more curves and requirres something along those lines. I will not be getting the whole kit just the front bumper. Its going to look bad *** the problem with the pic is the color, wheels and headlights that are on there. Imagine it in black with racing stripes with a nice hood which im looking into it as well. I cant change the fact that my model year looks more feminine than later years so adding something along the lines of a 03 roush bumper will look ridiculas.

Dang...Ok a cobra has venom... he is not saying its a straight up cobra...its a new breed, idiots think its a poser and its not. btw your year model with those colors go with what your doing its not that feminine. If you cant handle what he is doing to his car...give me yours. If you want some custom work done as far as your front grill go to a heating and air business they can do stuff like that as long as they have a design. If they say they cant they are BSing you.

i didn't mean put clears on yours just that i like them on mine wouldn't suit yours. but that bumper i don't knowi mean i haven't seen one before so that's cool but the curve on thside of the front extending from the fog lamp back sticks out looks like maybe an inch or two. if there was a side skirt that matched up with it and maybe flattened out to go into the back bumper then i'd say it's one of the best i've seen. and those headlights are scary

First issue is the removal of all GT,Mustang or Cobra lettering. On the rear bumper it currently has Mustang GT so for sure I need to get a body kit to fix this problem so I need suggestions which ones you have seen onlline and not that common. I have been looking at the 99 Saleen body kit made for 98 Mustangs so far. Should I paint the strips on,redo it on vinly? Should I stick with the 8" or step up to 10". I will also be removing the Ford emblem but since it has hole I will have to wait til the repaint.
.
I'm digging your ride brother, what type of hood do you have on there? it's a lot better then the freaking scoop i got on my 02gt!

Yes its a stock hood but I am going to go with another hood. I want to thank everyone for their input I really ,really do appreciate it and take everyones opinion into consideration. Everything from the GI JOE Cobra Commander Snake to a diamond back snake spitting Venom. I will have updates when things get done. Im hoping to have the new engine and suspension done in a few weeks which will be Stage I of the project. Stage II will be the body work and finally Stage III will be the twin turbos.

Well congrats on the lil one. That's way more important than a car. but it does look sweet man. i want to do alot to mine but i just bought a house and can't really do it yet. want to get a 99-04 cobra motor and do all the engine work on it then put it in my car. My motor would then get rebuilt and placed in my dad's 37 ford coupe.

Im right there with you wont be able to do stage III of my project until after I buy a new home. I had told my wife that we can swap parts from this to a Classic Stang if in the future we wanted to do something different and buy a newer stang. I really dont want two late model stangs rather have 60s fastback and a current gen. Good to know that at least you can savage most of the engine and drivetrain. Hold on Im getting a dream sequence in my head let me project it to the forums...............................

That car was featured in Modular Powers magazine Vol 2 Num 3. The girls dad and her built that bad boy from the ground up and a lot of those parts on there are from a cobra.
