its not on the top of the list right now

Steeda97 09-16-2007 08:34 PM

Eh, i'd make it on the top of the list. Next to dual exhaust.

dual exhuast is so worth it.

my list went something like this

From first to current:

Rims
Tint
Bumper inserts
Gas cap
Grille Delete
Exhuast
Hood

and for the future

4:10 gears
Cobra R Spoiler
Chin Spoiler (just for PColaV6)
Springs

prolly wont happen for a while

krazypony 09-17-2007 05:20 AM

how was the install, just undo a couple boltz and popout the stock grill and pop the new one in...?

I ask because I bought one this passed weekend too!

the hardest part was getting the old grille off. you have to un screw these plastic screws that sometime don't come out so you really have to work em. them you slightly pull down the front bumper to get at these bolts that are octagon like shape, but the bolts are on the bottom so its hard to get em off. I just used a wrench upside down, took a wile but it did the trick. The installed was like 30 seconds. But you have to buy the extra screws from ford they work better and then no one can steal your chrome pony

use a 7mm socket wrench instead of a regular one it will save you tons of time considering you can't even see the bolts your taking out. That part is the only PITA everything else is a breeze.

EDIT: and the trick for the screws that don't seem to want to come out is to not push down on the screw at all in fact raise the screwdriver as your turning it and then will come right out.

krazypony 09-17-2007 11:44 AM

FOR THE LOVE OF GAWD!

I had to pinch the bottom of the thing that hold the screw in and it came out

Dave04Mustang 09-17-2007 12:33 PM

ford uses some great quality screws don't they haha :D

Why didnt' you need one of the pieces?

It should be the horse, bezel and rear/center piece that goes behind the pony... eh?

PistonsFan102 09-17-2007 08:27 PM

v6mustangstuff.com has the 3 piece for $82.99

Why is americanmuscle.com's grille delete kit so exspensive now?????????????

Ryan 09-17-2007 10:27 PM

Id say

Tint
Rims/lowering same time
Exhaust

then other shit you want. Lowering is a must and looks good on all mustangs stock or not pretty much.

krazypony 09-18-2007 05:33 AM

I got the 2piece this passed weekend for $49 and installing tonight, and then a couple weeks I will have my Mach1 Chin Spoiler ( Go PColaV6, Go! )

I already had a radiator cover, or whatever they call it. The cheap plastic thing behind the pony.

you don't need a 3 piece it works fine with out it. IMO just a waste of money and a piece of plastic that you don't need

PColav6 09-18-2007 02:08 PM

Makes it look cleaner, though

krazypony 09-18-2007 06:05 PM

I got mine installed tonight too, looks good and glad I didnt get the 3piece one since the stock piece is in there.

Looks really good. Will post pictures after I get my chin spoiler to match it and really set it off!

PColav6 09-18-2007 06:20 PM

You guys have a black piece behind your stock grille????

The 3rd piece seems like it would cover up the radiator that would show behind the pony....seeing as it's a piece of solid plastic. The stock grille isn't like that.

krazypony 09-19-2007 07:09 AM

that 3rd piece that you are talking about was stock on mine, maybe its not the V6...
