Ok today was a great day. 1. I learned how to drive a stick, yes yes i finally learned. 2. But the best part of all I learned on a Z06. I know this a all about mustangs but I have to say Chevy made a great car. This thing has SOOOO MUCH POWER. My little sixer would get eaten alive. If i could get my stang to be like that OH WOW would i be in heaven

Anyway just thought Id put that out there

here is a pic Attachment 24249

My boss has one and he let me drive it to pick up some lunch a few weeks back...I'll say this...it is one bad motherfawker....

madmatt 08-06-2007 05:46 AM

LUCKY SOB!!! I want one so bad. Almost dont want to drive one, for fear that nothing will be as good until I own one lol.

MattJ 08-06-2007 06:45 AM

Clutch is a little goofy in those. Ive driven one in every color.

mustangvsix 08-06-2007 08:08 AM

0-60 1st gear 60-90 2nd gear and thats all he would take me up to. we were on surface streets.

LOL Thats a bit unfair learning a stick in that torque monster! I bet it didnt take much feathering of the gas to get it to move (if any at all). Shoulda learned on a 4 banger. Them under powered lil bastards will stall out before ya even know whats going on. To me it seems it would be better to learn on a 4 banger cuz you really have to work at the clutch / gas on start off. (when your learning anyway) One can really get a better feel of a stick that way. And once ya get into a stick with hella power (Z06 for instance) , the clutching is a breeze! Also.... its been my XP. that all clutches "feel" different. I had a '92 S10 p/u with a 5 speed in it before I got my stang. When I test drove my stang the clutch was so different to me I stalled it twice before I got it off the lot LOL. Needless to say, the sales guy was a bit concerned. But I recovered and left the lot burning rubber :boink:

But anyhow, Ill end this by saying you lucky mofo! I wish I could SIT in a Z06 let alone DRIVE one! Nice job bro!

I'll tell ya, nothing is more dissapointing then getting back into your car after driving a twin turbo viper. Every car seems to be slow after that.

yeah no need for gas it moved on its own. Only on hills did it need a tiny bit of gas and it was off.

silverstang04 08-07-2007 07:42 PM

I would not let anybody drive my zoooh, and I definitly would not let someone learn how to drive a stick in it. Craaazy!:worship2:

my bro has one
Attachment 24186

personally i think its a cheap car, the roof has ripped off 2 times, engine blew, tranny was getting problems, he fried the clutch once. doors are all falling apart from the inside, the leather of the chairs are all wrinkled up in a 1 year old car. For a $90k race car i thought it was a pos. im trying to talk him into trading it in for the new continental gt or a gallardo
