If your springs are just going to sit in the trunk ship them over my way I could use them to get rid of the 4x4 look! j/k looks nice and will look even better with the springs! Which ones did you go with?

Stan 07-12-2007 06:19 PM

looks great! (need to lower) looks awesome purestang! (need to lower) I hope you recover from your surgery soon so you can start driving again :)

went with Eibach Pro-kit. didnt like the drop of the H&R sports. i plan to leave the front bottom isolators out...but wrap the spring in electrical tape where the a-arm and spring meet. should be a noticable rake to the car.

Very Nice, your car is turning out great. Did you ever consider tinting your tail lights and side reflectors. Can't wait to see it at Berks PSU.

im taking out the front bottom iso's to get that 1/8" to 1/4" extra drop. i am still undecided about the rear cause i like a small rake. the rear looks like its the easiest to do so i am going to put both top/bottom iso's in to see if i like the stance.

o and btw, i officially ordered my tail light/side marker tint. and i am searching for the 5 piece vinyl kit for the trunk and lower bumper valance vinyl. after that, i believe a hood and painting the wing/getting a saleen wing will be it for the exterior.

well..add the blackout decal between the tail lights as a go. just ordered one off of ebay!!!

this look is getting closer and closer!!!

blackstang88 07-13-2007 07:28 AM

The blackouts will def make it alot meanier looking just dont over do it.

Btw im living in an apartment.

mustangvsix 07-13-2007 12:59 PM

looks freakin sick! now once you quit making excuses for not having those springs in("oh i just got out of surgery":tongueout: ) it will look even better:breakdancesmilie:

edit: i just saw you ordered the blackout decal for the rear, let me tell you, i ordered one, and it was a pain in the ass, so i threw it out, when to autozone, and got paint. woot!

mustangvsix 07-13-2007 04:34 PM

here is a new chop of the rear shot you are looking for...

well now its half lowered. lol. i got the rear springs in this evening, much much much much easier than the front from what i can say so far.

unbolt 4 bolts, drop rear, push vigorously up and down on the break to shimmy the spring out, get dad to help push springs in, lift rear, rebolt. finished.

edit: mustangvsix, im not getting the rear lower valance blacked out cause im not painting my wing black.

LOL...it takes like 10 min to go rent one from autozone.

jeredan2003 07-15-2007 10:18 AM

you know that electrical tape wrapped around the springs will tear off and wear away after a few days of driving.......looks nice though

jwarnick 07-15-2007 02:16 PM

Nice looking stang,,,get the spring on it will be sharp.

That looks SWEET dude! Very nice! How hard was the install? How long would you estimate it took you if you don't mind me asking? If I hadn't just ordered that mgw shifter I'd be ordering me a set of those tonight. I bet they will settle too over the next month or so and sit even lower. I think I must be the only one left on here with a 4x4 stang. lol...(hides face in shame...)

install took about maybe 4 hours. i took my time. if you can turn a few wrenches and have a brain, anyone can do the install...just read and read and read before going into the job. i used 03mustanggt's write up as a guide, but i did a couple of thing different. i also learn alot of things as well.

1) make sure that you have PB Blaster to get all of the damn molts off.

2) make sure that you have a tie-rod puller available (wouldve made the install easier)

3) for the shock bolt at the shock tower, make sure you use a ratcheting wrench, not a socket wrench. you need to hold the stud with something so that you can get the nut off, other wise you will be just spinning the whole upper part of the shock in circles....for ever (took me about 15-20 mins to figure how to get it off)

4) jack the car up as high as you can safely, the higher the better

5) have a second hand....period...would have certainly gone faster with someone else with me.

6) dont expect to use the k member as a jack point any more (at least for me) i lowered the car off of the jack stands and i couldnt get the jack out cause the k member sits too low now. lol

Stan 07-15-2007 08:19 PM

supercharger. period

LOOT 07-15-2007 08:26 PM

Thanks. Hey what kind of cc plates did you go with?

PureStang 07-15-2007 08:37 PM

none dont need them for the pro kit (or any spring that lowers 1.5 inches or less: sport springs, frpp c-springs, etc). and i dont plan on getting them since i wont be lowering my car any further than it is cause i think it gave the car the perfect stance (though i wish it was a tad lower in the front, but i can live with it lol)

edit: o yea, forgot to say tint and a dyno tune are going on when the subframes go in too...the place that is doing the install also tints windows and dyno tunes cars. lol

LOOT 07-15-2007 09:41 PM

That's cool! The springs are cheaper than h & r's and you don't need cc plates. That makes up my mind. I'm going with the same setup for mine. I too think it's the perfect stance.

mustangvsix 07-16-2007 12:17 PM

looks awesome dude.

PureStang 07-16-2007 04:47 PM

thanks!!! lol... got my tail light tint on as well....im going to do one huge ass picture whoring when my trunk black out is put on. than i think i am done on appearance modifications for a long time!!!!!

LOOT 07-16-2007 10:31 PM

I ordered the eibach pro kit last night. I know you said you didn't go with the electical tape on your fronts. Did you use your isolators?
