Thumbs down The New Look

Well, after my run in with a pothole last Sunday, I had to "borrow" a wheel off of the project car. $199 Nitto 555 Extreme junked cause of a pin hole in the sidewall

So, I am gonna try and work out a deal to trade out my Saleen inventory for some OEM Bullitts or Silver Cobra R's.

Yeah, 18's are becoming too rich for my blood. Might want to downgrade to a 17" setup. Got a guy locally who is looking into an even swap for some 17" Cobra R's with good rubber. Granted, I love the look of my car, but I can't see dropping $200+ every time I run over a nail.

The 4 on the car are in GREAT condition, with the exception of the attempted curb damage repair to the RR. You probably could touch it up and then you would not even notice it. The 5th 18x10 in the box is pretty hammered but it is true and straight and could be used as a spare or sold for some extra $$$.
The tires are in like new condition. About 15,000 miles on them.

All of the wheels look great, some very small minor scratches.. 3 out of the 4 tires are nearly perfect prob about 70-80% left, but one has about 50-60%. They are Kumho Ecsta Supra 275/40/zr17's..
Well, I will keep you updated with what happens tomorrow. Would you be interested in an even swap and meeting me halfway, like Asheville, NC.

I was in Knoxville Yesterday.

and Jack, you should never EVER patch or plug a sidewall ESPECIALLY a speed rated one.

If you can find out when you're going to be back in this area (within 100-150mi or so), Im willing to wait if you are..
I will let you know more tomorrow afternoon.

I was going to have it removed, patched from the inside, but I am getting some negative input on doing it.

Keep in mind it has a little wetness around the hole so it may look worse than it really is. BUT, I would really consider junking it before using it again on a $15,000+ car.
