Default My winter project...

bought the car august 15th, 2006, went to college the 18th of august. put a clutch in it a weekend in the semester. drove it home tues the 12th. **** start weds the 13th

this is how the car started:

pulled the rear end out first, it already had 3.73s in it, but they were set up horridly and worn worse then you could beilive. put new 3.73s in it, rebuilt the track-loc with kevlar clutches. did the 5 lug conversion.

Ran into a problem, no one told me i HAD to run CC plates with coil overs, with that being said, im looking for a used set local. ive heard the post office will be closed tues as well. which is just going to slow me down a lot, but i have a lot of motor to put back together.

heres the old kmember, had to get the Aarm bolts off of it, the old Aarms and spindles are there too, as are the SN95 spindles that were on my spindles. you can also see the new tires that will go on middle of the week too.

got the motor back together, got it fired up and it was way off time, filled it full of coolant and went to time it but coolant was pouring out the front of the intake. i went to college and dad pulled it all apart last night, basically lower intakes cracked where the big steel water lines go in for the heater core. so im looking for a lower intake for a edllbrock performer or typhoon intake. or a really cheap stocker to get me by. got a good trade offer for the front bogarts... more updates as i have them.

well quick update, sunday im going to get the FR500's. until then im going to take care of a few things on the car. dads going to pull the front of the motor apart and check the cam timing to make sure its right. the timing looks to be close, but its not running like it at all. so while im at school next week hes going to be doing that.

i found a fender lip roller to borrow, and i think a set of front tires. i need to beat the rear inner fenders in and roll all 4 lips. i think ifound a set of front tires, but rears are going to be pricey. ill snap some pics of the car tomorrow sitting on all 4s, ireally wanna keep the rear bogarts around and find a set of fronts for the car later.

update tomorrow maybe.

lol, well we moved last weekend, most the heavy house stuff got moved. but sunday most of the heavy garage stuff will be moved. tool boxes, compressor, all the tools and such will come over as well. so thats going to be the next big step. dad will be working on it some this weekend, as will i. right now the big hurdle will be getting the motor apart and back together. and finding a set of cheap used rear tires. looking for 285/30/18's... not easy. think i found a cheap/free stock intake so thats good. then will have to trailer the car to the alignment shop because it is so far off.

i traded my front bogarts/tires/lugs for a set of 4 brand new fr500's with lugs, locking lugs, and valve stems. guy from americanmuscle.com. he came down from philly and we met in mcdonald NC.

fronts are 17x9, and barely clear the coil overs, i wont know if they fit inside the outer fender till i get tires and get the car aligned.

the rear wheels barely fit as it is now, when the fenders are massaged and rolled they should fit close. im looking for small used tires.

notice the differant driveway... we moved. it sucked a lot of time, and some stuffs gonna get alittle lost. the house has a 2 car garage, but until we get another 2 car built, we have a bunch o stuff packed in the garage.

still looking for an intake and bolts.

the turbo coupe wheels are in my "forsale" pile of stuff, have center caps, lugs, and amazing tires.

Hey Andy,

Brick says hi. He's been telling us about his trip to McDonald...says he now knows where they get the ideas for sets for movies like, Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Glad you're happy with the rims
