so today the ups guy made three tips up and down my driveway.................cobra r 2000 hood, vt stage II n/a cams and comp valve springs

csledd 09-26-2006 07:12 PM

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

MattJ 09-26-2006 07:13 PM

those comp cams should compliment your BRAND NEW STARTER AND DURALAST BATTERY that you just added in your mod list. im sure youll be able to squeeze out an extra few ponies with those two.

cept the cams and valve springs are goin in my car............so the hood should compliment the battery nicely lol

DarkSith 09-26-2006 07:36 PM

Well, you both got some cool **** to put on your car.

smg32208 09-26-2006 07:59 PM

now im saving for the rousch stage 3 front bumper. im gettn hood and front bumper painted and installed by a friend who works for cadillac for 300 bucks. so as soon as i come around 755 my stuff is put on.

p.s. that duralast battery and brand new starter weigh less than the average battery and starter. its all about weight reduction man. less weight= quicker 1/4. ask any ricer. currently im on weight reduction stage 1 but i was thinkn about upgrading to stage 4 where u take out the engine to free up some front end weight. less drag on the front tires. u kno

mustangvsix 09-26-2006 08:08 PM

And me! I haven't added a new mod in forever....although I do have an intake spacer sitting in my garage waiting to get installed

Sweet new mods man!

B-rett 09-27-2006 09:29 AM

ha ha....well, get those cams installed, then get some long tube headers and a good tune and you'll be right there with me.....maybe not the torque, but you'll be close. I'm going to do the intake spacer, which does wonders for machs, and maybe an Accufab TB and then build up the rear end so I can get power to the ground better.

B-rett 09-27-2006 11:06 AM

ya headers was next.........then suspension/rear end and then spray.....or thats my plan right now

Teal_Beast 09-27-2006 11:18 AM

foncarelli 09-27-2006 11:28 AM

what does that have to do with anything?

smg32208 09-27-2006 11:48 AM

ok i wanna make it functional and someone already posted me a link but it just showed pics. how do i do this. the bottom is fiberglass and covers the extractors. so im guess u cut right where the lift is underneath. then just cut out the extractors. is there anywhere i can get templates or something like that? if im gunna have someone do it i dont want them ****1n up my hood

smg32208 09-27-2006 11:53 AM

i bought the hood from mt because it was 550 or something like and i bought the day before they added the shipping charges while using the americanmuscle 10% discount code so i paid 503.10 for the hood shipped.

StormsGT 09-27-2006 12:06 PM

Love that hood.

yea i saw it on a car at a carshow and hated it.......maybe cuz it was yellow and the guy had an ugly grill and front bumper.

smg32208 09-27-2006 12:13 PM

i kno it looks photoshopped (the grill) but its got two tvs in it. tvs behind the rims, all mirrors. and all over the interior. even in the trunk. sooooo stupid.

heres a pic to show the tvs. but anybody who is considering buying this hood u deff should. ive wanted it forever then had second thoughts about it but bought it anyways and i love it in person.

r3dn3ck 09-27-2006 01:17 PM

yep. 99-04 have glass hoods stock... with significant metal support structure underneath. they still weigh a damn ton. if you want light weight hoods, the CF hoods are the way to go.
