I love Chevelles. Undoubtedly the greatest musclecar of all time in my book. I am trading or selling that one. I have wanted a red '70 model since I was 12. I'm either going to sell it and put the money towards a 70 or trade it for a 70.

Nice collection of cars man!

zigzaggthefag321 08-30-2006 08:11 PM

cool cars...so yur all GM now? (i see the little red car behind the Chevelle)

even your SN eludes to Chevy's supremacy...

hmm...so soon youll have enough posts to sell the parts from your Stang. :salook:

LOL, that's right. I'm not a ford hater. The only Fords I have ever really liked is the 99-04 mustang saleen. The red escort in the background of the chevelle pic is my brother's daily driver. My daily driver is a 2001 Ford Focus.

I have a newbie question about the Saleens. Why is it I have seen some of them sell for ~$16k and some sell ~$30k. I know there are S/C versions and all that stuff, but those 2 figures were from non s/c versions of the same year model. I have been thinking about getting one, but I have a lot of learning to do first. Is there more to it than just s/c vs. no s/c?

My collection is nothing compared to my dad's.

BlwnSonicBlueGT 08-30-2006 08:56 PM

Damn you got some nice looking cars there man. Like that Chevelle a lot.

Slither 08-30-2006 09:32 PM

Chevelle FTW! After I sold my truck last year I was going to buy a Chevelle but figured I would be responsible and put all that money towards my Mustang loan and treat myself to the rims and tires. It was all gone in one day. But I will have a Chevelle one day. I figured I have plenty of time..no need being in debt right now.

wow cool colection...

I'm not a saleen expert, but there are a few different models.

Replica
S281
SC281

The 16K one was more than likely a replica (A GT with all Saleen parts, that someone built themself).

The 30k for a non s/c one is retty pricey, unless it's one that had been sitting in a garage since new and only has a couple of miles on it.

If you look around enough you should be able to find a SC281 for around 23-26k. but just make sure it's an original SAleen and not a replica.

BTW: Very nice collection of cars.

what year is the red vette? 65, 67..? my dad had a 67 big block, till he got married:beatup: . now you cant get a 67 big block unless you want to put out like 100grand

The mustang was my cousin's. She only had liability insurance on the car and got into a single-car accident. So I'm parting it out for her trying to get all that I can. She got a 1997 Camaro SS to replace it. I would like to have a Mustang to add to my collection of Chevy's. If I got one, it would have to be a silver or black 99-04 saleen. Man, that thing is gonna feel slow after driving the Impala or Camaro. :)

Floppy, I sent you an email.

1 Bad S, The vette is a 1966. Red with silver interior. It is a beautiful car. It is all original with a super-rare color combination and even more rare 327 with a 3 speed manual trans. He is dropping in a 468ci tri-power big-block. He actually drives it sometimes and is scared of breaking the original engine. That would suck.

Thanks for the info. I think I should go ahead and go with the S/C version. These cars are hard to find.
