Default Pics of the K&N FIPK installed in the V6

Got my K&N FIPK from the UPs guy yesterday. Got it installed today. Fairly straight forward install. I took extra care and had a couple beers, all together ~an hour and 1/2 including cleanup, put tools away, etc.

Sounds pretty good and feels responsive. Now hopefully the SpinTech catback will get here soon. You can definately here the K&N sucking! It's ready for the SpinTech!

Very nice! Nothing like that sound of it sucking in air when you start the car up.

By the way, you have a super clean engine!

looks good. I'll give you $100 if you come and make my engine bay look as clean as yours! Seriously do you have like 10 miles on your car?

looks good, are those as good as the ones that go down into your fender? Cause from installing two of them they are a pain, and to switch out the filters too is awful.

Actaully, I just read up in the sound and shine threads and followed advice. I used sonus engine degreaser and hit it with a good stream from the garden hose. Wiped it down real good then sprayed Armor All Tire foam on everything.. took it for a 15 minute drive, and whammy! looked great.

I covered all the electrical connectors with reynolds wrap before the degreaser/water cleaning.. otherwise no real tricks..

thanks for the compliments!

I think they are better than the CAI's that go into the fender....not as many curves to mess things up!

Thanks dude. Are you going to the Cool Springs All Ford show in 2 weeks? If so, maybe I'll see you there.
