You try grabbing an aluminum gear shift thats been sitting in the sun. Also, I drive for a living (8-18 hrs a day) and the gloves do help.

haha i hate those bullitt shift *****, i had one, When your cars been sitting in the sun it gets extremely hot, its like putting your hand on top of a kitchen stove, and then when its really cold it feels like grabbing a rock of ice.
